Abnormal heat with lack of expansion joints has caused numerous tracks to bend out, though this is the fanciest pattern I can recall.
I'd say earthquake. Notice the road bed, and how it is falling apart on the left. Also notice the rail spikes that hold the rail to the tie. A photoshoped image wouldn't likely show them clearly.
