So am I reading this correctly ? Prius sales are down 12% year over year ? What is the reason for that?

If my arithmetic is right, Toyota/Lexus sold 17,190 hybrids in May, almost 12 percent more than the old all-time high of 15,382 in August '05 - so much for the "hybrid sales are flat" story that's been going around. Interestingly, Prius weren't quite half of last month's Toyota/Lexus hybrid sales. Anybody know why there's been such a spike in HH sales the last two months? Has Toyota discovered the magic of price reductions?
