Leds above ebrake?? What is it

    Can anyone tell me what this is above the ebrake next to the trunk latch? It seems to be an add-on but there were no dealer add-ons on my Prius.

    I was gonna say footwell lighting but the light isn't pointing in the right direction. Have you seen it turn on? Under what circumstances does it come on? (e.g. door open? or when you start the car?). Does it blink?

    Where the wire lead? Is it simply a power cable?

    New car? Dealer doesn't know what it is?

    I too would vote alarm...a motion sensor.

    Annoying they would install this and no mention. I think you are all right that indeed it is a Karr alarm. I wonder if it affects the vehicle in any way

    For a price the dealer will install a button that undoes what pushing the first button did.

    If it was a KARR (or any) Alarm, or Car tracking GPS, you'd need the transponder to activate it and de-activate it.

    maybe check you're not being tracked by the CIA, Mafia or Social Security?

    Contacted dealer who says it's alarm that is installed on every vehicle that is on their lot. It is deactivated.
