With 2016s not selling and 2017 in, no good deals around in charlotte,nc area. Dealers just taking 2k of msrp. Sucks.
Lol. Thats it just 3k. Would need atleast 7k. Off the basic msrp of 25k for base. TOG markup by 3k like adding paint protects etc etc.
Same here. I've been checking several dealer websites, and nobody seems to be discounting. Just the $2000 factory incentive. Lots of people swear by Costco.
Costco should be around a grand give or take under dealer invoice plus whatever the current incentives are (2k off or 0% for 72 mo). But yeah I hear that NC is weird with incentives and offers. Another member on here Gary_nc had issues with NC dealer too I believe. Might want to hit him up to see what he did or where he went to get his new Eco...
With costco the dealer said he would not charge a doc fee and take 2k off the marked up msrp. That was very generous offer he said. I never see a single new prius here in south charlotte
My Costco price was about $2600 off the sticker. Then I got the $2000 rebate. I'm in California. It's worth a try.
You californians are always lucky. Like state tax credits for hybrids etc. NC sucks for car deals as there are very few big name dealers here and they have cornered the market. More of a monopoly.
Well, that's how we roll. We do tend to be on the leading edge of many good things. That's one of the reasons I live here.
We also have the 2nd(?) highest state income tax rates. And a 9% sales tax in LA County. And a state budget, unfunded state pensions, and teacher pensions that are billions in the hole... And about 50% illegal aliens. Many who are driving on the roads with no insurance, no drivers license, and/or a suspended/revoked license. And the largest homeless population of any state... The city of LA is something like 30 years behind in infrastructure repairs; broken sidewalks, potholes, trees uprooting walkways/streets. And LA schools have a sky-high drop out rate... and lower than the national average test scores... And more than a hundred street gangs, with the Chief of Police saying that crime is rising faster than ever... Other than that, it's a day at the beach! (I'd like to live where Michelle is. Way up there, hidden in the mountains.)
Jeez!!! Don't you go telling the truth about Cali, I'd hate to see this thread get blacklisted into Fhopl... Lol. FYI I lived there for 5 yrs and my wife is from there so I feel like I have a little say But yeah it does seem that NC gets the nasty end of the stick on car deals as evidenced by this and other threads on the matter.
Oh, and I forgot to mention all the convicts they are letting out of prisons and jails EARLY... due to overcrowding. Right back on the streets to commit more crimes. But hey! Costco has great car deals!
Check out of state (near ones). Fly out and drive it back... It would be worth the savings, for sure... Register and pay your sales tax when you get back... You should be able to save at least close to $5k+ off the raw MSRP (without 0%) and assuming that the dealer doesn't have junk add-ons. $3k+ savings along with the 0%, if you opt for it.
Miami pretty much in the same position that you Just wrote. I wanted to upgrade my prius. My guy told me is too early. He said let me check what we can do . It been 24 hour no answer of any price yet . I just want to see what price he come up with . All done by texting or E-mail. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Check with Modern Toyota in Winston Salem. They auto replied to a price query on their website at about $5000 below msrp for a Prius three with ATP. And they went a little lower in negotiation.
Can't you just buy out of state? 2016 Prius - Best Prices So Far {ALWAYS UPDATED - LET ME KNOW IF YOU BROKE THE RECORD} | PriusChat
Regular hybrids no longer have any benefits. Plug-ins still do, but who knows when that'll go. Probably when Model 3s are all over the place.
I hope Joe finds a deal for a new Prius. I keep hearing about good prices, but I don't see any advertised on the dealer websites. Maybe in December? ( When I bought my 2016 back in February, the dealers still had 15's on the lot, and the prices didn't look like they had been discounted at all.) If a person buys a car out of state, are there any extra registration fees tacked on when you bring it home? Any penalties? Sales tax? I'm not sure its worth all the hassle, and paperwork, and plane ticket, and having to re-register it, etc. Best of luck Joe. Buying a new car is still a stressful, pain in the rear. The dealers don't make it easy. Somebody needs to invent a new way.
