New to this forum and wanted to stop by and get some input. I am currently shopping for an ICE vehicle (other vehicle is a BMW i3 BEV) for the occasional road trip and household chores. I have previously driven a 2007 Prius II and 2010 Lexus HS 250h Premium, so I am familiar with the Lexus/Toyota hybrid technology. It seems at least in MA I am getting lower payments on the 2016 RAV4 Hybrid XLE than the Prius package II. I attribute this to the higher residual value (62% vs 55%) and dealers seem more willing to discount the RAV. Has the Prius always been such a relatively undesirable vehicle to lease? I purchased my 2007 outright when they had a 0% offer in late 2007.
"dealers seem more willing to discount the RAV" What? The rebates alone tell you the Rav4 Hybrids are higher in demand.
