Anyone installed aftermarket DRLs? I want the little LEDs that are on a lot of newer cars but the space the prius C has is smaller than most that I have found. Here is an example of what I want: PlasmaGlow® - LightWave LED Driving Lights EDIT: My C is leased but I intend to purchase it. Until then though, I want to avoid doing anything too crazy which is why I no longer want to mess with my fog lights ( see other threads )
I personally don't have experience but met at guy with nice DRL on his C. He mentioned its a PIAA Deno which is very bright but looks good as those plasma. Check it and compare: PIAA | Deno 6 High Intensity LED Daytime Running Lamp Kit #19156 Daytime Running Lights | 4WheelOnline
These are half the price of the PIAA, and there's also a 4 LED version as well, which is sized better for the smaller c.
Those both look nice. I was looking at these" Ultra Slim White/Amber Switchback LED Daytime Running Light Kit
Really cool! I wonder if the Professional White is a major difference and worth spending the extra money?
The problem I have had is finding the right size. The philips ones (although look really nice) are too big for the space on the C. They are 7.9 x 7.5 x 3.3 inches . So far the only ones that look like they would fit correctly are the ones from ijdmtoy. The philips ones are 7.9 x 7.5 x 3.3 inches but the ijdm ones are 6.50" x 0.40" x 0.40"
According to an answered question, the dimensions of the Philips DayLight 4 light is 4-7/8" wide, 1-1/8" high, and about 1" deep per light. The product dimensions you are quoting is for the product packaging or box.
