What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Well, I paid approximately the same amount of money than the original replacement filter costs so my walled didn't actually even become lighter... Actually, I should even save some money in the future since I no longer need to replace the filter at all. I also happen to have K&N service kits in my garage because I have K&N filters in my MR2.

 

Today took my Prius to car wash, and put on a steering wheel cover, the slip-on type for lazy person, for about $13. Yesterday was playing with the OBD connector and Torque Lite app.

 

One of these things is not like the others.

 

Sure one likes it down low while the others like it high.

Black car does not have a chance.

I decided to go with a ProClip dash mount and a Nite Ize Steelie to keep track of my phone.

 

Today I dropped off my front lip to get resprayed, dropped door panels off to get upholstered, and chatted with my buddy Juan about trunk setup. I also ordered more Clazzio material for trunk panels.

 

Nice! Can't wait to see the new door panels and trunk setup.

Got a chance to fix my Android deck and swap out the panel to black. Still working on the AC button since it is reverse. Special thanks to sfv41901, Dylan Doxy, and Burna J influence me on buying the Android 4.4.4. sfv41901 helped with the install at the mod party, kudos!

Android Deck
PRO:
1. Sound is crisp.
2. Does not require Auto Harness Connector NOTE: Required a canbus for reverse to work. Come with unit. Make sure tell seller that. He had to ship me one after
3. Backup camera line. This is on the Android unit.
4. Play DVD while moving or at a stop. Doesn't require DVD media. I put a few media on NTFS on a USB thumb drive for testing
5. 2 USB port and 2 micro SD
6. Factory Volume Control on steering wheel.
7. Change different LED background colors
8. Play music in sub folder or all folders. It a plus!
9. GPS
10. Auto sync with bluetooth

CON:
1. Can't change car setting. Has to be done using Techstream. Example, turn headlight off vs 30 sec delay
2. Require new MIC cable. The one come with it is short. Purchased longer 15 foot cable from Amazon. Sfv41901 and Dylan Doxey is working on a mod to use the factory MIC
3. Put brand new CR2025 battery on the remote. It doesn't work. Not a big deal since I don't use it
4. Random play back go back to default when Android start. Not a big deal
5. Boot up is slow. I believe around 10 seconds.
6. Doesn't auto link to personal hotspot. So if you want to use google maps or waze. You have to link it every time. I guest prevent from using data plan.
