Hi everyone, I'm a bit confused when it comes to interior lights for a Prius C. For the map lights and license plate lights, is this the correct lights to purchase for LED? T10 Wedge 8-SMD W5W 168 194 2825 175 LED Interior Light bulbs (Fits: Prius C) I'm a little confused as I see 4-SMD, 5-SMD, 8-SMD and really not sure what to purchase. I notice people mentioning 194, others 2825, so really not sure which ones to purchase.
4-SMD, 5-SMD and 8-SMD are simply the number of actual diodes on the bulb. They are all the same size and should all fit in your C. Typically you would go by the rule that higher amount of SMD will give off more light.
I personally wouldn't buy these cheap led bulbs. They never seem to last long, especially if it's for the license plate. now, I buy the philips brand from amazon. amazing bulbs. and so far, no flickering nor dead bulbs. it's more expensive then these cheap bulbs, but seems brighter and last longer.
Thank you for the information. I'm checking it out right now, is it best to get the regular 194's or the 194 T10's?
I honestly don't know the difference between them, but I got the regular 194. maybe some size guru can shine some light. I know I bought the regular 194 and not the 194 T10 since there's a band across exactly shown on the picture.
Can someone give me info. on how to remove the plastic on the license plate coverings for the light. I am trying to find out how to open up the plastic, afraid by yanking on it, I might break something.
