Hi - new Prius owner. Dumb question, Having problems with demister in wet cold weather. I want to stop windscreen fogging up without using (noisy fan) What should heater be set at - Aircon on or off?
You want to keep the windows free without using the demister? A/C on. If you use the demister, the A/C is on regardless of whether the light on the A/C button is illuminated or not. If you want to reduce the fan speed, then press the demister button and then manually lower the fan speed. But yeah otherwise, in AUTO mode, just leave the A/C on. (and the temperature doesn't matter. Just set it at the temperature for you to be comfortable)
