key fob cases??

Funny you should mention that. I was just searching the internet yesterday for a Prius key fob cover/case. No luck at all for the 2016 model. Even 2 dealers didn't have a case to fit. I've already dropped mine three times and scratched it.

The owner's manual says to not keep any metal or keys/coins near the Fob? I have my house keys on the same ring as the Fob. Hasn't been a problem, but I think I will separate the two. I finally ended up buying a small leather zippered case to put the Fob in; temporarily, anyway. It's too big, but at least the Fob is protected.

 

I gave purchased silicone cases for all of my fobs for many, many years. The 2016 Prius is not available yet. (Toyota changed the configuration). I have asked when? But no answer yet.

 

I have a ghetto homemade version by reusing a pouch for something I ordered lol

 

Wow, I've also been searching the net for a silicone fob jacket, as the previous poster stated, the 2016 redesigned fob is shaped differently than previous generations. Hopefully the aftermarket will address this opportunity soon...

 

I use the one that was for my Mazda CX5 (2016) and it works well.

 

Bumping this up in case anyone has found a case for their fob.

The one on the left is the cover ssdesigner suggested. It's nice, seems good quality, and the Fob fits in there very snug. It's compact enough that I can attach my keys and it's not too bulky for my pocket.

The pouch on the right is what I got a few weeks ago after I dropped my Fob a couple times. Bigger, obviously, and has 2 zippered compartments. I like it too, because it definitely won't fall out of my pocket. Fob fits nicely in the center compartment. Don't usually hang my keys on that one.

 

I order this and never got them . I Email the lady and they told me they are on the way. On Friday it going to be 2 weeks..

I emailed Toyota last week.It is really a pain in the bud to go to part depth and buy thing for you car . I don't know why they don't used the same thing that ebay has or Amazon. It a lot more fun to buy thing than going to the dealership. You can't even get half of what you order any way .why Toyota is so far behind. It just my 2 cent

That is not good. Sorry to hear that. I think mine were mailed from right here in California.

 

I contacted the jacket store. They will have a Prius cover "soon".
