My wife took possession of her prius last week. I'm jealous as hell, and I'm thinking eventually I'll want one. In the mean time, I'm gonna stick to my Honda Accord.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(burritos @ May 10 2006, 01:10 PM) </div> My husband is jealous of my Prius too...it has all the fun gadgets that he has in his car plus a few more (BT, backup camera, SKS). He's sticking with his 2-year old Accord in the meantime too though. I let him drive the Prius as a reward when he exhibits good behavior.
We got 2...mine is a 2002 Classic and my wife's is a 2005... Heck, I'm envious of her model. Once a new and improved model comes out, I'm all over it - then she'll take it
Edit: hey, where did my avatar go? Just noticed I'm "bare". Hmmm. Edit #2 whaddya know, my former avatar, the same pic but slightly larger, "dropped out" and I had to replace it with this.
My Fiancé has a classic 2002, and I recently bought a 2006 package 7. We live together and are getting married in <2 months, so I guess we count.
We have a 2004 and a 2005. We both average between 56-58 MPG and last year saved a combined total of almost 5900 dollars in fuel. Mine is license tag 56 MPG and hers is license tag MRS MPG.
I bought a 2005 and a 2006. It took me 10 months waiting to get the 2005 and it was a gift for Barbara, my long time significant other (20+ years). I figured that after all that time she deserved at least one really spectacular gift. I wanted to give it to her as a Christmas gift, ended up as a birthday gift. It is really difficult to buy a car for another person in terms of the paperwork. I knew it was the perfect car for Barbara (she had been making noises of being interested in one when her Ford Taurus died in a couple of years). I was impressed enough by the car that I sold my 5 year old Audi A6 and got myself a 2006, picked up at 9AM on January 2nd of this year. - Tom
It took just under a year for my significant other to want her own Prius. We sold her small Tracker SUV and (gulp!) my Harley of 10 years. It's been so worth it!. Mine's in my signature, hers is a #7 Silver '05. Cheers, Curt.
