i will be interested, but i can't say definitely until test drive and pricing. interior volume will be important to me as well. i can't wait to see one up close and personal!

i must say, i'm surprised you haven't gotten many replies. there's a few people in the tesla threads saying they might buy, if tesla delay is too long especially for a basic model, i'm sure there will be some takers. does gm have a waiting list?
Not necessarily. But you are in "Prius Chat" asking whether a majority of Prius Owners are interested in jumping on a product that is not yet commercially available. Once it becomes something tangible? Ask again. No....for various reasons I won't be considering one.
I just noticed this thread. I'm planning to give up my 2011 Volt after 134,000+ miles later this year and get a Bolt EV. I will still keep my 2004 Prius with its 160,000+ miles for awhile longer. After Tesla starts making the Model 3 for a couple of years, and shakes off any early design or build problems, I will start looking into getting one of them as well. At that point, my Prius will finally go to live with someone else. By following this strategy I'll get myself into a 200+ mile BEV sooner so I can drive to work on my 100% renewable electricity plan and not worry about plugging in at work or elsewhere locally during the day. I'll also get the hatchback storage access convenience that is missing in the Model 3. Later, I'll add the Tesla with 2020 hindsight after I'm sure they have transitioned the Model 3 to the next full generation of AutoPilot hardware with more and better sensors and faster/smarter processing. I may also go for the larger battery pack option if it's priced reasonably since their new battery Gigafactory should be in full operation at that point. That will get me widespread DC fast charging, improved partially automated driving, and longer range for occasional road trips. I think that duo will carry my family for another 6-8 year stretch until new BEVs come out with another future generation of battery tech that is cheaper, bigger, and charges even faster. Of course, Toyota or another maker could wow me with their own 300+ mile BEV in that timeframe too but I'd generally rather buy a Tesla because I like what they are doing.
I've already seen one, but haven't driven it yet. I might well order one before getting a chance to drive it. I had good luck with that strategy with my 2001 Prius, 2004 Prius and 2011 Volt. In each case, I felt reasonably confident that each company had some of their best engineers sweating the details and the publicly-known design details seemed right. That's also true for Tesla and the Model 3 but they are a young company still struggling in start-up mode and have had delays and early build problems with both the S and X.
