They just can't get these off the lot... amazing It was $1500 in June. It was $1750 in July. They now raised it to $2000 rebate (at least in CA and AZ) even before the last $1750 rebate expired.
Yeah... here in MA it looks like only a 3 day deal. "Must take retail delivery from new 2016 dealer stock between 07-28-2016 and 08-01-2016." My acura is still running fine, and I'm trying to get my gen1 insight back on the road, but these deals make a prius more and more tempting. I have noticed that some colors aren't in stock like a few months ago, so they are moving... just not moving quick enough, I guess.
That's correct, The deal ends today. That's the gamble you take if you wait till Tomm. Does it stay at 2k off, or does it revert back to $1500...I doubt they will raise it to 2.5k since it was just 1.5k a couple days ago but anything is possible. I'll be heading to my favorite toyota dealer here in a couple hrs and will see what type of deal they can work out for me on a 2016 Prius. I have it narrowed down to a 3T in blue crush or a hypersonic regular three. I too have noticed the lack of color and package options on the dealer lots recently. Many grey and red cars.
If you are a costco member, you get more off of the price. I got $2500. I would have gotten an additional $1000 but I took the 0% loan instead.
Yes, except for the fact that I was 100% prepared to buy my new car yesterday and spent most the day there.... and then when I ask for the Costco pricing which they did for me and showed me all the proper paperwork....they chose to devalue my trade $3500 bucks!!! Saying they can't honor Costco wholesale price and give me what they quoted me for my truck in writing less than a couple weeks ago. Wth. Total bs. I test drove both the 3T And the regular 3 for 18.5 miles through the rolling hills of the countryside and managed 62.2 mpg for the 3T and 60.00 mpg for the three surprisingly. The 3T felt like it would glide so much easier, like I said surprisingly. So I opted for the 3T and moved on to the next step of the buying process. I am so pissed. I have bought 4 cars from them in the past and actually had a buddy buy my old trade from them a couple yrs back and that's how they repay me. Sucks. They were actually trying to justify the suddenly $3500 inequity by way of gas savings. Jokers. So I still have my truck for now. I actually found a Subie dealer where I had bought a few cars from back in the day that is willing to get me into an STI for a real good lease rate.... Have always wanted one...We shall see. Yeah they kept the 2k cash discount but seems they dropped the 0% for 72, it reverted back to 0% for 60... So now obviously the better deal is taking the 2k rebate and getting a low rate loan.
True. But STI is racecar... Actually my mpg would increase 8-10...from my truck. No comparison to a Gen4 mpg wise but I have always wanted an STI and this deal through research seems truly amazing.. I would be driving the Blue crush right now if the stealersship wasn't so shady. I was thinking of trying another Totota dealership that's bigger, has more selection and more local but they are known for lowballing trades too so who knows if it's worth my time...
That's too bad. I always feel dirty and cheated after buying a car - no matter how the deal went. I didn't say anything about a trade in when I bought my 2016 Prius 3 until after pricing was done. They may think that they lowballed me on my trade in, but I think it was fair. I looked online for trade in prices and that's what they gave me. I probably could have gotten a little more because they instantly raised the trade in $500 when I balked at the first offer. Anyway, the trade in was an '06 Volvo C70 Convertible that had a few problems and 104,000 miles on it. I had two not my fault accidents in it and never really loved it.
that's how i did our last deal. got the blue book value. told them i decided to trade after the fact. but then they pull out the black book value, which is lower, naturally.
I had my trade deal in writing on thier printout from less than 2 weeks prior!! That's what's so maddening. It could have been a 30 min - hr transaction if they would have honored the Costco deal plus what they agreed to buy my truck for what they originally stated. Honestly I probably would've even taken a $500 hit, but no way in hell would I go negative equity that much for something that I know is worth at least what they originally told me if not probably much more since I have 2 k in added acessories....It is true they are only in it for the money. I fully agree and understand free market capitalism but when you have a customer that has bought in essence 5 cars from you and was planning on buying a 6th when my wife's lease is due to screw me over for trying to take advantage of the Costco plan. Total fail. They should have honored the deal and then made it up elsewhere for a good customer...
