No. I wrote something in white font below the "Spoiler Alert" so that it's hidden for those that haven't watched the video. If you select the blank area with your mouse, it will reveal the hidden text. :)

I agree. I found their testing not very scientific....

It seems a lot of new tests/reviews have being posted in June (for whatever reason) on Youtube.
Some of them honestly make me raise an eyebrow, but for the sake of documentation here.... (the best one for me so far is from Apex Automagazine (posted already somewhere up in this thread :) ):

2016 Toyota Prius review: The best Prius ever, but is it enough? - The Fast Lane Car

"Part of the problem is that it’s not very good at handling normal in-town driving. I made it a point not to treat the Prius any differently than I would any other car, so I didn’t change my driving habits. In town, I usually averaged around 46 mpg. The energy meter was in the red power zone more than it liked, apparently."

I don't know about the others here, but I spend most of my time in town, am a fairly swift driver, and have not changed my habits since getting the Prius, and I have the opposite experience of this reviewer. I rarely see my energy meter go into the red power zone.

no one has a lead foot like an auto reviewer. i wonder what car gets the next best mileage for her.
i suppose 'the fast lane' says it all.

sounds like she thinks the chevy bolt is already in production.o_O

and again, another comparison to tesla. what is wrong with these people?

'look at me, i'm driving a prius. i care about the environment, you suck.' (n) she needs to grow up.

Credit the new suspension setup (and probably the wider 17" tires) for the newfound stability.

I have found very few reviews to be of any help. Most don't understand the reasoning behind the Prius. They expect performance of a BMW 350i with the fuel consumption of a Tesla. They are not objective and often it seems they are paid to simply write non objective (piloted?) things.

A friend of mine reviews cars here in Germany for a magazine specialised in company fleet cars. He had a Prius for the weekend. I was appalled at his approach. We almost fought about it. He said "I just get in and drive it" "It only has 120HP - how can it be??" "5L/100km [//47mpg] is nothing spectacular" (while he was driving with full accelerations and braking frustrated that the car was not a BMW) and so on.... In other words, he was biased and not objective. Instead of saying, this car is perfect for fuel saving, he was disappointed it wasn't a racer.

When I told him, did you see the drive modes? he didn't even notice the button. When I told him about the fuel consumption, he didn't even reset the counter before starting using it.
How on Earth he makes reviews, and I am sure he does a great job, I don't want to know.

If all others are the same as him, no wonder these reviews are mostly useless.
And most of them simply re-read the Toyota press release without really saying anything more or helpful coming from experiences in real life driving or in controlled environments where results can be repeated and compared to other cars in the same situations. Nobody is really *testing* them.

One thing for sure - this Gen4 seems to be on everybody's mouth. Nobody likes it, everybody is talking about it. And everybody is waiting to get one.
In the last 2 months there have been so many new reviews on Youtube...!

    Bwahahahahahaha......!!!!

Seriously, there's the problem right there! The person who originally uttered those rather illiterate words, hasn't the foggiest clue what technology runs a Prius, and more particularly, how it works!

A visit to YouTube would adequately educate anyone genuinely inclined to understanding the operations of the Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive! It's not exactly rocket science.....

That's unbelievably cringeworthy. What an increasingly dumbed down society we're living in....

brutal, but we read this sort of thing all the time with auto writers. if they don't know, they'll just make it up, because they know their audience. although i must say, the chap is at the bottom of the ladder.
but i'll give him credit for not making up negatives.

Even sales people have been making the same mistake. They don't bother to learn and just assume it's HID. The one group (Aside from actual owners) that should know about the product, doesn't.

Amazingly my sales manager never said any stupid or nonsense thing about the Prius. He was quite knowledgeable. And most review I read from EU so far, didn't say much crap - this guy is insane... :D

Britain's Guardian newspaper published a positive review of the Gen 4 today.
Toyota Prius: car review | Martin Love | Technology | The Guardian

"The headlamps are five-cornered works of art that link bonnet, grille and front fenders. Stick it in a corporate carpark and it looks like a drama student who has walked into an accountancy lecture."
