Ok. I think i've got a problem. I've succesfully turned off my rev gear beep's and driver and passenger seatbelt beep. But i also wanted to check my temps, voltages, breaking kW, battery etc. I bought this device:

Vgate iCar3 Wifi Elm327 Wifi Code Reader Support OBDII Protocol Vehicle iCar 3 Scan for iOS/Android/PC Free Shipping-in Code Readers & Scan Tools from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

Its wifi, hardware and software version 1.5 (not the 2.1 that some had problems) VGate. Seemed to me a good one. But when i connect it all seems ok but the piads readings are very very slow like one read for obout 30 secodns....i've removed all not necessary for me pids - there left only about 26 (temps, some 12v parameters, rpm, etc)

As you noticed i've only changed Name and ShortName for my language (Polish). As i mentioned earlier i've made with this device turn off seatbelt and rev beeps but the "live" readings are very poor. Torque gives me information after 2 or 3 minutes that OBD device is faulty :/ i dont believe him ;) Maybe i am doing something wrong?
Ok i forgot to mention that i have Auris I HSD which is similar to Prius III gen.

Once you've turned off the rev and seat belt beeps, take them out from the displayed gauges. You only need to do it once. I am wondering having them as one of the display item is slowing things down?

As you can see above i've already removed all on/off pids and i've never had them as a dispaly. I want just to read sensors. I'll upload a csv file here in txt. Maybe its problem with my wifi connection? But if i could turn on/off beeps so rest should be ok i think :/

What type of adapter do you have? My Kiwi bluetooth starts to slow down if I have more than 10 gauges at once on the screen.

It's ELM327 chip is the bottleneck. Wifi bandwidth and your phone are fine.

    See the list:
Bluetooth Adapters - Torque OBD2 Wiki

OBDLink LX can do 100 PIDs per second. That seems to be the best bang for the buck.

I would use bluetooth, if nothing else, to save on the parasitic drain on the battery. None of the cheap adapters I have found have a working on/off switch or power save mode, and wifi consumes more power than bluetooth.

The power button on my device merely controls the LEDs, but has no impact on overall parasitic draw, which is 38 mA on my device. I wouldn't want to go more than about 1 week without driving my vehicle or permanent damage would be done to the lead-acid battery.

BTW- I have this and it works reasonably fast with many gauges.

    For the 50 bucks :...(
So how people here can read so many gauges at once and i cant <cry>
Ok i will try tomorrow on my wife LG and my PC with another program (is torque for pc?- what should i download?)

Now when i don't use it i just simply pull it off the OBD slot so battery discharge is less possible :)

As far as I know, Torque is only for Android OS. It won't run on Windows unless you have an emulator or the Dev kit.

Can anyone direct me to the PIDs for the door lock/unlock sound volume or mute?

Would also like to set it so the smart key opens only the drivers door but the remote opens all 5, tweak the dash lights so if the lights are on in the daytime the dash is still legible and disable the panic function but first things first.

    Would it be #21?

Doesn't seem to be that one and if it's #84 "key reminder buzzer" all I get manually entering it into enginelink is a gauge to monitor it.

At ingineerix gen3params it looks like there's a "wireless buzzer resp" option that's on/off and a "wireless buzzer vol" that's 0-7

Is there an update to this file and/or procedure? I just downloaded the paid version of Torque and installed the PIDs, but when I go to add one to the display, NONE of them are in that list. They appear on the list of imported PIDs, but do not appear on the list that allows me to actually add them for use.

Treat me like a moron I guess, because I cannot figure it out and I'm tired of sitting in the car wasting gas trying to figure it out. The only damn thing I want to do is turn off the reverse beeps.

    Have you tried this:

Power on (not necessarily ready, IG-ON will do).
Set Trip/ODO to ODO (if it’s already set to ODO, you still have to cycle through the options: ODO, Trip A, Trip B, and back to ODO).
    Power off.
Power on to ready (brake on).
Within 6 seconds, press and hold ODO for 10 seconds or more.
WHILE STILL HOLDING ODO *after* 10 seconds, Shift from P to R, then back to P. Now release ODO.
You’ll see in the trip display “b on” or “b off”.
    Press ODO to toggle.
    Now power off.

That is how I turned of the reverse beeps on my wife's 2010.

    Hi!! Thank you!

    This has been really helpful...

    Here are my questions:

    1. Should this work by default with my camry hybrid?
      1. Context: I am not getting a reading from any of these. I loaded the Gen II pid's, tried them, no reading. I cleared them and loaded the Gen III pids, and the above did not show up. I loaded both, and there are no readings.
    2. Also of note, I want these readings to identify the weakest cells because I have the 'replace hybrid battery pack' codes and I wish to have someone try replacing the couple of bad cells over paying 1.2k for a used battery replacement, or 4k for a new one.
    3. In order to drive the car, I am resetting the engine codes such that the hybrid functionality works, is this perhaps why I am not getting a reading? Is it even possible to get a reading when the ECU shuts down the hybrid battery functionality as soon as it realizes it has a voltage problem?
    4. Does anyone have any other advice on how to test for the bad cells in this situation?

You can enter custom pids on iOS if you use DashCommand app ;)
