Hi: It seems like the rear camera has suddenly started to point down more that it used to. We have three Prius's and none of the older one are like this. The dealer tells me he hears this problem all day long and there is nothing he can do about it. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this issue? Thanks, Don
The manual has a description of a few situations you could check - like a heavier load in the back, or the boot not closed properly. Check the manual - and if that doesn't help, go back to the dealer.
Luckily, my camera has not moved in 5 months of ownership. Could it be due to closing/slamming the hatch too hard? I open & close my hatch twice a day (to remove/install the heat shield) and I make sure I am very gentle when closing it.
I was looking at the camera mount on my car - it looks pretty solid - I can't imagine it moving even if you close the hatch quite strongly
The boot nt closed properly would make the camera read high and there is nothing in the rear. Car has 5000 miles on it. I'm going to call Toyota to see what they might know. Thanks, Don Hi: None of those would cause the angle of the camera to change Thanks to everyone. I just left the dealer and checked on a new Prius and it's the same. We're just getting old I guess. But.....the outside temp reading is ALWAYS 3-4 warmer that actual even after sitting in the garage overnight and I'm having a problem getting them to do anything about it. I was pretty sure there is a tech stream adjustment for this but I need some kind of proof for them to look it up. Naples FL (3 Prius's at the present time. '09-'15-'16)
It is one of the adjustments that is available with Carista - you can change the offset for both inside and outside temperatures by a couple of degrees in either direction.
