I revisited toyota website today and surprisingly found ATP is finally listed as an available option for Threes in my region (houston, tx). I further did an inventory search, one (yes, one, red with black interior) shows up in Houston area. Switching to a Dallas zip i found another one (red also). Compared to California it's like nothing, but it's already a huge improvement! You know 3 weeks ago when I placed order for a silver three w/ ATP, that option wasn't listed on Toyota website. Now the question is, since I still don't see my color of choice available, does that mean I will need to wait for two+ months for the vehicle to come all the way from Japan?
Last time I checked for a 2016 Prius Model Three with ATP, according to Fred Haas Toyota there were none available and one on order for a customer. That was about a month ago. It is my understanding that the ATP package was added to the three for the Gen IV Prius (2016 and up) at the time the design was first released. It would not surprise me that the "Toyota Website" you are using was not updated properly to reflect said changes at the time the 2016 Prius was first available for ordering. If you want the ATP package and if it is indeed available here in Houston, I would advise you to get it while you can. I checked all over Houston and found NONE. I did check with Diane Whitmire (Carson Toyota) in California. She told me she had over 25 units in stock (model three with atp package) and could gladly ship me one. I declined the option and have since stopped looking. UPDATE: I attached a print out that came from Fred Haas on the Model Three with the ATP Package (2016 Gen IV Prius).
