My guess is that there is probably more margin on the Excel trim than the Business Edition, so a touch more flexibility in pricing/extras.
No, it is not even this way. I turned on today, with 3 bars and 14C, AC on with 20C and it didn't turn the ICE on until I was driving faster than 30km/h only because I accelerated more than the mid-line of the HSI... On the Gen3 it would be on before I could say "Good morning"... Similar situation in the rest of EU and in particular in Germany - I got the mid-trim Confort and it had *everything* - I simply added the IPA, more for fun than real use. The top trim, "executive", only about 1.5K€ more didn't add anything I felt I needed. Apart the rain sensor which would have been really helpful and not an option anymore, but 1.5K€ and a Navi and 10 speakers I don't really need, a bit too much. I had the paint treated with the Toyota ProTect which sounds similar to the SupaGuard. For the time being (3 weeks of use), it does seem to keep the paint always clean (as long as the rain is not dusty and it doesn't stay on flat areas where the wind doesn't move them away (e.g. on the rear bumper and the door sills). The dealer told me it will last for about 5 years. For 500€ let's see if I wasted my money or not. For the time being it seems to work. And to both - congrats on the purchase!
Lucky you got half a tank. I got the tank empty (5L only) and if I wanted it full, they would do it for me, but I'd have to pay for it..... (the world renowned customer service in Munich....)
Yes, I do it all the time. It works really well. You just press the ["+Quote button] on the posts you want to gather together and then press the "Insert Quotes..." while you type your message and the quotes will be added where the cursor is. I usually do that before typing my message.
I asked for a full tank. The salesman said "I'd never let a car I sold leave here without a full tank". This week I received a survey from TOYOTA. One of the questions was "Did the car come with a full tank of fuel?". So maybe it's a TOYOTA Australia policy? Not give them the options available in the rest of the world (Auto Park etc) - but give them a full tank of fuel.
No, they gave me whatever the Japanese thought it would be necessary to deliver me the car. The dealers here are just cheap bastards. They did ask me if I wanted it full, but I had to pay for it. No way. They didn't say where they would fuel it up and at what price. Forget it. (not to mention there are like 5 gas stations close to it). And if they fill it up - how much is it filled? till is says so in the meter or till the first stop of the nozzle? I don't trust them at all.
You click the "+Quote" button on all the posts you want to quote. At the bottom where you would write your reply, press "Insert Quotes". It'll pop up a window, showing you the quotes you will insert. Click Insert. And they'll all appear. Now you just have to write in between the quotes to reply. So now I'm writing to reply to you. After I'm done, I'll click to the empty space between Alan's and Pakitt's quote to start reply to Alan. Here, cars are delivered with a full tank of fuel. Wow.
In the UK a full tank of fuel is generally something you have to ask for. If you were the kind of buyer that just pays whatever the window sticker reads you'll not get any extras for free. I always negotiate the best price I think I can get and then say; "If you throw in a full tank of fuel and floor mats, I'll shake on it." If you're buying a cheap used car I can see why the cost of a tank of fuel isn't included (on a £1,000 car a £50 tank of fuel is 5% of the car's total cost) but on a £30k new car it seems crazy not to include it because it winds people up!
Been to the Toyota dealership this afternoon to do some paperwork and my Prius was on the forecourt! Really pleased with the choice of colour. I went 'Galaxy Black'. It was clear and sunny this afternoon and the paint really shined in the sunlight. Although it is black it has blue/purple flecks in the paintwork that look really cool. Not sure if this is a paint colour available in other markets, but I'm really happy with my choice. Properly excited now!
Sweet!! Yeah it's called Midnight Black Metallic here and Attitude Black Metallic in Japan. Toyota doesn't offer metallic/pearl blacks often. The other non-flat black is Black Sand Pearl. This Galaxy Black is a newer colour (Black Sand has been around for decades)
Yeah I don't know why Toyota changes the name. It's the same colour code and it was called Attitude Black on the Camry too.
Picked mine up this morning - I'll post pictures in a mo - but the sparkle in that paint on a rare British summer day is awesome
Congratulations, you've got a couple of days of nice weather by the looks of it. Feeling a little jealous ordered min 2 weeks ago with a delivery date in October.
