I have package 9 and the 4 floor mats and the cargo mat came with the car. You can also get a piece of surplus carpet and make your own.
http://www.partznet.com/priushomepage.html Carpet scraps or other brands are okay, but I like the Toyota brand ones, because they fit exactly (I'm sure someone will start making them that fit exactly, but the car is so new) and you can turn them over to expose the rubber backing and protect your cargo area when you carry stuff like plants or mucky things.
I'm interested in ones that cover the back of the second row as well. Is there a good set that works for all cargo room when the second row is folded down?
Here's what I do...and I've been happy with the results. I bought the weathertech digital fit cargo area matt, which I like. Not as thrilled with the drivers matt, passenger matt or the passenger area matt...but that's a different story. The cargo area matt, I would recommend. It only covers the 1/2, back hatch portion. But it's durable and flexible, and protects great, while allowing me easy access to the storage area below. For times when I have the seats folded down and I am hauling bigger items? I simply bought a cheap, canvas tarp, I think at Harbor Freight or similar. I get that out and fold it out over everything. So far this way of operating- has protected great. Admittedly the times I haul with everything folded down are pretty specific and limited. If I did a LOT of hauling with the seat folded down, I might investigate full coverage 24/7 options. But for me? I don't really need it...and the canvas piece, has been fine.
Shots of my homemade cargo mat(s). Taking advice from the thread, went and got some indoor/outdoor carpet material and went to work. Works pretty well.
