    Should take about 2 -3 hrs......4hrs max if ur working slow.

    Just requires the removal of the axle to replace the seal & refill the CVT.

    I've now done the engine oil and filter, engine & inverter coolant and HV battery fan cleaning with the videos. Top notch guys!

    Next is the spark plugs, but I'm going to wait a little longer since I've only got 92k miles on the car.

    The only thing with the spark plugs is you will really start to hate the Toyota engineers. :)

    Wanted to add my thanks to the NAB folks and to ask if there are any plans for a wheel bearing replacement video. I think my 2010 needs a rear wheel bearing replacement.

    Just curious: how many miles, are you running higher tire pressures?

    Another thing, do you encounter a lot of speed bumps? I hate those things, take them at dead slow.

    @Danny posting taking multiple tries with 20~30 second delays for each.

    Hi Mendel,

    Not sure if you are asking me about the wheel bearing, but I'll respond in case you are: Approx. 79k miles. Yep, run tires in the 40-42 psi range. No encounters with lots of speed bumps, but have encountered some speed bumps for sure over those 79k miles. Oddly, the wheel sound changed after I rotated the tires. I re-rotated the tires and the sound still persists; a sound that graduates in loudness as the speed increases.

    Took me half an hour getting the little black plastic corner of windshield pieces out, or in..., I forget. :oops:

    took me 2 hrs to film, and recently at 114k miles, I just replaced the spark plugs and it took me 1 hr.

    that just means you're getting old :D lol

    Wow, this has been fun! Here's what I've done so far on my 95,000 Prius Plug-in:
    1. Oil Change (nine or ten of them)
    2. Transaxle Fluid Change (two)
    3. Inverter Coolant Change
    4. Engine Coolant Change
    5. Brake Pin lube
    6. HV Battery Clean
    7. Throttle Body Clean
    8. MAF Sensor Clean
    9. EGR Pipe Clean
    10. Spark Plug Replacement
    All that leaves me with is the PCV Valve replacement and the dreaded brake fluid flush. Today I did the spark plugs, which was a lot easier than it looked. It took me a long time because I was fastidious about cleaning everything. I have a spotless engine compartment, but in four years of driving, all that stuff beneath the windshield has never been opened up and cleaned. I especially wanted to clean all of the cabin air intake area because I breathe that air. I even reached inside the air intake with my good old Clorox cleaning wipes.
    If you do the spark plug replacement, don't forget to have some dielectric grease for the ignition coils.

    nice, your stats are like mine. The only thing I need to do left are the front and rear brake pads and rotors... which won't be for a while lol. The brake flush is easy for the rear, but for the front, you will need another person to help. :)

    A question regarding the brake bleed sequence. I appreciate the rears are much more efficient at pumping out fluid; the assistant can just keep pressing the brake pedal and fluid comes out. But is there then an advantage to doing them first, as opposed to later?.

    I've attached the Repair Manual Section "REPLACE BRAKE FLUID (for not Using the Techstream)" (love the titles...). They specifiy a certain order to bleed the brakes.

    And just to grumble, of course they don't supply a simple pictogram, with the corners of the car numbered one through four. No: they laboriously repeat the procedure, four times (hopefully without zingers...), with identifying terms like "front disc brake cylinder assembly RH". I gather that means "front right". Anyway, the sequence, when you sift through it, is:

    FRONT RIGHT
    FRONT LEFT
    REAR LEFT
    REAR RIGHT

    Torque values for bleed screws:

    Fronts: 6 foot/lbs. (8 mm socket size)
    Rears: 8 foot/lbs. (10 mm socket size)

    Further thought: in the past bleeding brakes, I've always found the manuals specifying a certain bleed sequence. Typically it starts with the corner furthest from the master cylinder. I'm not quite sure of the rational, neither do I understand how the lines branch: do they run back separately, or merge?

    Today was brake pin lubrication day:). Only took a couple of hours for all four sets, stoppping a couple of times in between:(.

    Well worth the time and effort. Below are the pads at 142 k miles (original pads):

    yup... those pads will last for along time lol. I still haven't done the brake pads and rotors replacement video because I still have life on the pads and rotors... even though its at 130k miles already :( we'll have to wait for a while before we'll have that video up lol.
