First time I'm collecting a new car direct from the dealer and I wonder if someone can run through the common pitfalls and checks I should be doing. Already plan to check the tyre pressures but other suggestions would be very welcome.
congrats! do a very thorough walk around of the exterior, looking for paint imperfections, wide gaps in fit and window scratching and pitting. same with the interior. don't let them rush you, tell them to buzz off until you're done.
The dealer provided a checklist for me and it was good enough for me. I'd say make sure they turn the backup beep to one beep before you drive off.
