    That's true. I think I'll go this route. I've wanted projectors down there, and I'll probably get nokya yellow bulbs. Thanks for the input. What are you running in yours?

    This is a close shot against my garage door, before I installed 4300K HIDs and blocked the squirrel finders in the lowbeam projectors. Note the sharp cutoffs on the foglight projectors.

    I have a 2015 C3.

    Hate to revive an old thread, but I'm in a pinch here. I got one of those push button fog light button. It has 5 pins, but only 4 are wired. 2 for 12v, 1 ground, and 1 would go to the relay.

    I already tested the wires with a 9v battery. with the 2 wires to the (+) and ground to the (-), there's a constant on light and a fog on light when pressed. The one goes to relay would also have power when the button is pressed.

    Where do I put this wire on a factory harness? on the main ECU, pin 27 is for fog, but it looks like it wants to complete a ground circuit for it, not sending voltage to it? Or am I supposed to connect it to pin 13 on the main ECU where it'll activate the fog FR relay?

    To my knowledge on the after market kits were that the fog lights are completely independent from the oem fogs. A constant on and power draw and a negative. You could tap one into your fuse box which I did before on a previous car. Should be the same thing. Hope that helps.

    I don't have a problem taping for 12v power. I'm going tap the parking lights for power to the switch. to illuminate it at night, and when press, light it up on the switch. I hooked up the fogs to factory harness, didn't fish it through the firewall.

    Not planning to replace the stalk, so need to know where to tap the switch wire to. it has power coming out of it and it looks like pin 27 nor pin 13 is a go since these want to complete a ground circuit, not a power circuit. (excuse my ignorance in terms, I'm not an electrician).

    It almost looks like I need to add a relay and have it hook up to either 27 or 13. the switch to trigger the relay to complete the ground circuit?

    it's an aftermarket kit, but I'm not using their harness. I'm using the factory harness on the C3. only other thing I want to use is the fog switch since I'm not going to replace the stoke

    Oh yea I was in the pinch also. If anything you have more problems trying to use the factory harness than using the one from the kit. If I was u just use the harness that comes with the kit since the factory kit is tapped into the stock stalk. You may need to re wire things In order to go that route.

    The C comes with the wire harness from the fogs to the fuse box, but no wire harness from the fuse box to the stalk. Easier to use the wire harness kit with the fogs.

    okay, then can anyone tell me what does pin 18 and pin 35 on the 3C connector do? It's in the fog light installation manual, but doesn't specifically tell me what it does.

    reason I ask is cause the kit I have doesn't match the color wires from the instructions. If I know what those pins do, then at least I'll know which wire goes where.

    Success!!!! Took me a while, but after a couple of trial and error, finally figured out what to do. And it's so simple for the C3., The ecu does pull 13 down when I pull 27 on the G59 connector. That's where I kinda screwed up before. I kept thinking to pull down 27 on the 3C connector. Got confused when they were talking about pin 7 on the 3C goes to the fogs.

    All I had to do to lit my switch is to t-tap pin 2 on the 3C connector to the double wire that combines to 1 at one point. ground the black wire. Now where's the tricky part. I need the relay that came with the fog kit, where the wire that supposed to go to the battery, I ground that wire. The other end, I t-tap pin 27 on the G59 connector.

    No wire to the battery, no wires through the firewall.
    Was having a little problem when lights won't turn on. But the Dash light does, so there is power going to the fog lights. I guess I need to switch the wires on the fog lights. Those are LED, must had screwed up the positive and negative.

    I appreciate all the information shared here in the forum. It helped me alot with a couple of projects on my C. I haven't seen this posted yet so I thought I would add what I learned from my install to the knowledge base.

    First, in regards to wiring. The Toyota McDonough instructions for which wires to tap going to the ECU are still correct for the 2015 (and I would assume 2016 models). HOWEVER, for those of us using a aftermarket non McDounough harness; be advised that the voltage is likely opposite of what you want. I.E they supply 12v when the lights are off and 0v when the lights are on. If you are tapping the purple and pink wires like in the McDounough instructions and are using them as the input voltage for your switch, you will either have to run it through a logic gate/transistor to flip the output or a normally closed transistor before you wire it to the switch. Otherwise your fogs will only turn on when all your other lights are off.

    Also, for those who are interested. The purple wire goes to the low beams (12v when off 0v when on). And the pink wire goes to the high beams (12v when off 0v when on).

    In the end I did not feel like messing with it and wired my switch input to the parking lights which means they can now come op with the DRL and don't turn off with the high beams.

    Second. I can confirm that the 2015 Prius is compatible with the Aqua X-Urban style fogs. To do this you will have to cur 3 holes in your fender per side for some clip flanges to pass through. Some tips for this:
    After working on one side eyeballing where the holes should be cut and making 2 unnecessary holes I realized that on the inside of the fender there was an outline marked by the factory on where the holes should be cut (see the blurry attached image). There are 3 arrows pointing to where the holes should be cut. It's a real bear to get it cut from the inside but it is much easier than eyeballing it.
    Unfortunately, the kit I got did not come with the clips to hold the bezel to the fender. The bezel does still attach to the same clips that the fog blanks do, but the X-Urban fogs also have three extra clips that attach through the finder due to their increased length (the same three holes we made to pass the flanges of the bezel through). For now I have these flanges held on with 1/4" poly hose which holds them on, but there is still about a 1/16" gap between the fender and bezel which is driving me crazy, i think a more appropriate (OEM) mounting solution would suck up this extra gap. I have looked for what OEM clips would go here, but I can't find any rectangular clips that Toyota uses. There are about 1/4" tall and 3/4" wide perfectly rectangular (you can also see them in the blurry picture). If anybody knows what these clips are called, or a part number for them I would greatly appreciate it.

    Tominator, I believe these are the clips you need. I have similar clips holding my SE front air dam that is added below the regular Camry bumper:

    30pcs Bumper Moulding Clips Retainer Fastener for 2008 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser | eBay

    My bumper cover has the slotted holes with the arrows pointing at them, just as you describe and have pictured. Then the SE lower air dam piece has the loops of plastic that goes through the slots and the plastic wedge clips secure everything.

    You can see that the lower part of the bumper cover, everything around the foglights, is an added piece below the regular bumper cover in this picture. And it's held on with many of these wedge clips through the back:

    Anyone doing this should definitely remove the bumper cover for clear and unobstructed access to the back of the bumper cover when cutting out the slots.

    That does indeed look like them. The X-Urban also had a lower air dam and the cutout slots for the air dam look to be exactly the same dimensions as the holes for the fog trim. Thank you.

    Yes, I agree that would be the smarter way to do it.

    Guys, I used kwhubby's method probably over a year ago and am just realizing that my dash light indicator doesn't work... I'm using a switch that has an indicator light of its own, but I'd still like the one on the dash to be illuminated. Anyone have an idea on how to fix that?

    getting the lamp on is actually pretty easy. just need to splice a cable. but that cable is so damn thin and packed. I have what you have, a separate switch that turns on as well as the dash.

    Do you happen to know where that specific wire is located?

    I'm supposed to be going through posts and looking for a common element amongst those that have the dash indicator working, but this may be simpler... Assuming you know where that wire is!
