I remember when my car looked like that....too. Same set up!

Now this is with the Tein Street Basis Coilovers (2.0") drop.....and yeah I scape and do the sideway driveway exit...Air is next for me.

Sorry for the long post, but IMHO, "ride quality" is very subjective so I can only describe it as how it feels for me. I've had a few cars with aftermarket shocks & springs (koni, tokico, eibach, "blow torch") plus I used to valet cars for years so I've felt all sorts of suspension. For me, the Tanabe DF210 on factory shocks is definitely sportier.

Going straight: The factory shocks/springs had better dampening after you hit bumps on the road, this setup you feel the bumps more distinctly, meaning that you can feel the suspension hugging the road more. It's not a jarring feeling, but definitely firmer. There are some roads in my part of town where at higher speeds there are drops in the road that make your stomach drop so I decided to go off them w/ 4 people in this setup and it didn't bottom-out and the springs/shocks pulled the car down thru the drop and kept a straight line. Someone in back did complain of hitting their head. They should've worn their seatbelt.

Stability: Factory setup the ride is sightly mushy for me and in harder turns it feels like the frame flexes a little w/ oversteer. At higher speeds the car feels "floaty". With the wheels and springs w/o a doubt much more stable at higher speeds, even changing lanes it feels more stable. I'm way more confident in the car at higher speeds.

Turning: it's a prius, so for me, in turns there isn't much feedback, but there's much less body roll and it takes them in a more predictable track where before, I just knew where the car would be because I got used to it. You don't get that stable toe-in feeling you get from european cars.

Overall I really love improved handling and the looks. I really like how it looks. What i didn't expect was all the extra scraping I've been doing. I was hoping to drive "normally" but the 1.3" inch drop has me scraping more than I had expected. The front lip clears parking blocks but don't go much further than the lip because it will scrape. Thanks for reading!

Today I dialed in the Android install. Was trying to utilize the OEM mic but it has an amp that's powered by the factory head unit so j couldn't get it working quite yet

Here's a pic going back home using Waze

Because I have the Technology Package it maintains a lot of the factory functions like the ability to Chang the auto headlight sensitivity, door lock functions & the MPG Consumption graph. I'll have more pics to follow

I remember seeing someone recently mention restoring headlight lenses. I'm starting to get the little hazy on the top portion of both headlights. Looks great when wet haha but soon as it dries the haze kinda comes back. Any ideas of what's good to use? I've waxed them a few times but jus comes back.

Bring the mod party to Utah!

Random cars parked together; neither of which belong to me.

It's the pumpkin head unit running Android KitKat. In that pic I was using the Waze app.

Happy 4th of July everybody! :) I went on Auto Anything today and order a custom sunshade and dash mat for the new Gen III. With todays code of DD20 and Sun10 you can save some $$$. Also, got coming from Japan the CarMate lower center cup holder and tray. :D

Go to an auto part store and get one of those headlight restoration kits. They work great if you take your time. Most detailers will do it for u for 35-75 dollars

Installed the G's headlight and LED foglight earlier. Still waiting for the headlight connectors to show up but did a work around for the moment.
