Was recently looking to see if this would be a good fix for the price? Im assuming the inverter pump would be the replacement if the 12v battery is working fine. 2007 Toyota perius package 3
244k miles $500 as-is. More or less depending on a full techstream report. Not many codes kill it on the side of road. P0AA6 is one, which means battery, A/C compressor, Inverter, transaxle or harness - all expensive.
I elaborated a little bit. It's a headache, and at 244k miles, it could grenade at any time for any reason.
which would you rather repair the one on top or this one below. How much would you offer for the car below? This car would mainly be use as a commuter between school and work. Im assuming the second car would be easier as the front bumper, door, and right headlight would need to be replaced. Toyota Prius Fixer (2006) best offer
Given that it drives, I'd be more inclined to go with it. However, I would also discharge test the battery to confirm that it's not near end-of-life (40% SoH). I would get a quote to do that repair at a shop and knock that off top KBB listed price as an offer.
Does anyone know how to remove a door? I tried searching but there seems to be no info but removing panels. Is it difficult to replace the door?
500 is a good deal. at that mileage, there is a strong possibility that the hybrid battery has already been replaced. Also, test/replace the remote key battery and the 12v batteries.
