noob qns: Iphone mirroring to stock non-Entunes JBL Headunit

    We do not have Entunes in Asia and my prius 2016 came with a plain vanilla no Navigation JBL Headunit with 6 speakers.
    I was told that I could mirror Google maps/Waze from my iphone to the headunit but noit sure how to go about doing it
    Not really a techie guy and couldnt find solutions on google and youtube.
    Any help is much appreciated!

    On European Prius models and with Android phones Mirrorlink is directly supported.
    MirrorLink

    For the iPhone, we are all out of luck. As Apple does not support Mirrorlink and Toyota does not support Apple CarPlay. :(
    There are other tricks to for iPhone mirroring but they modify the current hardware and cost quite some money.

    Bummer....looks like I have to replace the headunit with navigation features and air-mirroring

    After an update I got mirrorlink working, yes, but it's terrible. See my other thread about it.
