What vehicle have you owned before the 2016 Prius?

2016 Prius Two - ?? not sure yet.. but most likely will be an owner soon.
2005 Acura RL - my love, comfortable.. was with her for over 10 years but starting to have issues in our relationship.
2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe - was my dream car but wasn't comfortable. Broke up in 2 months. Was a lesson to always research / test drive before buying.
2004 Acura TSX - just graduated and saw money for the first time
2002 Honda Civic EX - college days

 

2015 Mitsubishi Mirage?!?!?!? What made you buy that?

2005 Prius, which I'm keeping till it dies

Prius and then a 2016 RAV4 Hybrid. I still own the 2010 rav.

1997 VW Passat TDI (Now the wife's)

Loved those 800+ mile tanks. The wife's (same model) died and she finally said we needed a second functional vehicle. Since VW decided to be dumb (cheating emissions) I couldn't settle for something that got the same as my nearly 20yr old car... it had to be better in the mileage dept. The only choice that did that, at a reasonable price (and is the mileage champ) and without long distance range issues, was the 2016 Prius (Three).

So I bought my first new vehicle.

1993 BMW 325is

gave the 3 to my kid sold the 7 series.

 

I had a 2012 VW Passat SEL TDI. Not a lot of tech but would go forever on a tank of gas (33/44 mpg). It was also long. I kept hitting curbs when turning. Wife has a 2014 Prius C. I got used to driving it for a couple of years and wanted something quieter than the TDI. Blessed be the 2016 Prius. Happy camper!

Uninteresting, I guess - the car we swapped out was a 2005 Gen2 Prius, so I guess we're consistent. At present, a 2012 i-MiEV sits in the garage between its charging station and the Prius.

But hey, DBLXX . . .

Okay, in all seriousness, one of these things is very much not like the others.

I say this despite great affection for tiny Mitsubishis (just came home in the i-MiEV from dining out) - given the rest of the fleet, what on earth is the Mirage for? One of the kids?

Gosh, you had (have) a serious Ferrari addiction.

You know, there's probably a 12-step-program for that!

 

I'm currently in Houston Texas, I'm told " You know you are in Texas, you need a pick up truck". I think there is a 12 step program for the pick up truck, but I'm reserving it.

 

My year had a lot of recalls, but it was the first year of the model, I'm sure other years might've been better. It had a lot of small things that weren't recalls that I had to pay for but it seemed to have a lot of problems for a pretty low mileage car. Beyond that, the backseat was tiny and it was a little sluggish on the get go. The only thing I liked about Audi vs Toyota was the service lobby, which was quiet and had free tea

The Mercedes was an AMG and I needed something practical for my 120 mile RT commute and my car sits at the airport (EWR) 35 weeks a year.

Wound up really hating both the Merc and the Mitsu.
