Yeah!!! Congrats! I must say that dark grey is really nice the same color I ordered mine Looking forward to reports about usage and mpg!
1st trip - 80km of mixed town & country roads with a bit of motorway at 4,2l/100km (or, in medieval, 50 miles @ 67mpg). Since I haven't even driven a hybrid before (bar earlier test drive) and don't know many tricks, I am quite impressed.
So, yesterday I drove by my dealer on my way to some other errand, and there I see a Gen4 in dark grey - I park, and see on the dash a piece of paper listing the features exactly like the ones I wanted (IPA - that one only ) and "it is already sold". The front bumper had for some reason the tow ring screwed to it, and if I remember the back one too. So far no call from the dealer about a delivery. So - either somebody ordered it before me, or they cannot deliver it for some reason I don't want to know, or they are selling to somebody who for some reason got in front of me in the "line". I will wait the 3 months' date line (21st June) from ordering, and then will call for an update. If they don't call me in the next couple of days to tell me when to pick *MY CAR* sitting there in the lot, I am really pissed off In any case, regardless of faulty web configuration and typos in the price list, I have confirmation that you can actually have the "Comfort" trim I ordered with IPA. And dark grey looks really sharp and elegant
My car is there! That is my car! But the sales guy is really a sleepyhead. I called today as I could not resist the curiosity for an update - he first said "it will be soon there" and then by the end of the conversation as we were fixing to meet for papers etc, when I asked explicitly "so where exactly is it?" he said "it is here, they must have delivered it last night".I was kind enough not to shame him by saying that it was delivered at least last Wednesday... Oh well, end of next week I hope the wait is over and it is in my hands. I can wait months, if I know till when. But not exact delivery date, it's quite a suffering to get one's much loved toy I am happy PS: my Gen3 is running out of gas, I suppose I don't need to fill it up completely today
Since I decided mid January to change car, every 2nd fill I've only ½ filled - but then in frustration, the next fill is full. Murphy's Law says that I'll finally decide when the tank is FULL.
In the past, unless I'm getting things like window tint etc, cars have usually been prepared for delivery either next day or soon after - not a whole week.
The car needs to be registered and get a license plate - for the dealer to do this, they need a special insurance number that I get from my insurance company and signatures from me, to allow them to do the registration in my place. He could not have done it any faster. Maybe starting the paperwork last week would have gained a couple of days, but not mich more than that...
