2012 v five with 56,500 miles. Getting onto an onramp and accelerating when car jolted and dramatic power loss. I posted a thread about my car "ticking" as i slowed down from 30mph and im wondering if this was related. I had no choice but to drive it home and kept car under 45 mostly on side streets. Car is not assited at all by electric motor and can bearly go up hills. With windows open and attention to any unusual sound i noticed no more ticking when slowing down from 25 to zero.... I think its covered under warranty at least powertrain, hopefully. I know a few of you here have the ticking problem to so i will update if this is related after i bring it in for service.

Being in a CARB state your hybrid warranty is 10 years or 150k miles so take it to the dealer and let them diagnose.

The reason the ticking while braking is now gone is that when those trouble codes set, regenerative braking is disabled (along with much of your hybrid drive). The ticking is often due to excessive clearance in the outer CV joint of the front drive axle on the side where you hear the noise. It becomes audible during regenerative braking when the braking force is going from the wheel to the transaxle. When regen is disabled, you have friction braking at the brake rotors, with no load on the CV joints.
The drive axles should be covered by the 5year/60k powertrain warranty. Depending on the delivery date, you might still make it. Of course, the you need a dealer tech to verify that this noise is coming from the CV joint. Based on past postings here, that may not be an easy task.

CV joints are definitely still loaded, just differently than when the braking is regenerative.
