The display it's always on when you drive.I do not have a navigation system and sometime I don't want to listen to music while I drive.The Manual won't say anything about it,you can push the power off for the CD but then the display stays on.This is the first car that I own that you can't shut the display off complete ly or Am I missing something?
wow 96f already! Yes you can turn off the display. On mine I believe "setup", "display" in the top right, then "screen off". I have to check the exact steps but I do it on dark roads at night and it helps the nightvision.
Sorry I missed it but after hitting 'Set Up' the 'Screen Off' selection is at the bottom of the screen not on the upper left hand corner.I'm guessing on newer model the Screen Shut off method changed.To turn it back on just hit 'Audio' and you're back in the game.
Just an update on this post,if you press "Screen Off" the screen will shut off but if you have a CD playing or an IPod, the music will still be on.To shut it simply press the power switch.I think this a nice feature to have especially on long night driving trips where the glare of the display is too much on your eyes and you want to listen to music without the display on.
