Hi whoever is out there: My 2001 Prius now has 330000km and was working fine so far. Problem: Starts but makes an odd rumble. When I put it in drive and step on the gas it doesn’t move. There are leak spots on my driveway. Could it be transmission fluid? Is the transmission dead? Do you have advise? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Only the ones I had for a long time, 1436 about the valve on the cat. converter, but I dove with that defect since 2010.
i'm surprised your not getting dash lights. engine oil level okay? i suppose a check of tranny level is warranted.
Are you reading from a Prius aware reader? So RPMS go up but no movement? Sure sounds like a transmission issue, what color is the fluid? Have checked the fluid level? When was the last time you serviced the transmission fluid? Sorry about ll the questions, just trying to help.
