Well, we have a deposit down on our 4th Prius. We started with a 2010 V, the pen a 2012 five, then a 2008 touring (bought a house and got something older to use $ for furnishing), and now I've sold the 2008. Browsing the interwebs, I was able to source a one owner 2013 plus performance package in black. Looks like it's a four, with the solar sunroof and the bigger navigation along with heads up display. Never see them with this package, so it's nice to get something rare. Only has 25k miles on it. Pretty excited, going to pick it up this week, it will be my wife's daily driver for her 76 mile commute until the Tesla 3 comes in . She's been driving a non hybrid car averaging 24mpg and we are excited to get back to Prius gas mileage!
Congratulations - I notice your Fuelly results - the Prius v (I assume little v) fuel use is almost the same as the Gen 3. Was there any difference in your environment to make that happen?
A 2010 Prius V is a first year Gen 3. Toyota's insanity of naming a whole different car a Prius v in 2012 strikes again.
Thanks - I knew about the "v" vs "V" (crazy), but what put me off was Vas25tl's name for the car "LittleV - 2010 Toyota Prius" in Fuelly. Thanks for reminding me that in 2010, there was no "v".
If you think it bothers us, imagine working in a parts department in a Toyota Dealership. Someone in Marketing has a lot to answer for.
What is the Prius v in North America and Australia is the Prius Alpha in Japan and the Prius + in Europe
Picked up the Prius today, everything went just as planned. It's a four with performance plus package and solar roof package, the original sticker was in the glovebox and was over $37K! Put about 200 miles on it today and it drives great. Came with 2 keys, owners manuals, original window sticker, rubber mats and is in excellent condition. Very happy, and the wife loves it. Heads up display is pretty cool! Tires are new and are not low resistance tires, might replace those.
Congrats! You and your wife really love Prius. What price did you pay (assume 25K on odo)? PS: Expect delays with Tesla 3. Good move!
