How many 2016 Prii have you seen on the road?

I hope you will take this in the friendly spirt which I intend it, but I think it is important to note that MA is a funny state when it comes to what you are doing.

Audio recordings that are made without the knowledge of the person you are recording (consent doesn't matter, just knowledge) are illegal, and fall within MA's wire tapping laws.

We live in a weird state.

 

Saw my first one today, less than half a mile from home and it was silver, the same as mine.

 

I have this car since April, I would say that I'm getting ~47 mpg average (5 liters /100 Km), I think that's very good.

A few times with good traffic conditions, I've reached ~53 mpg (4.4 lts/100 Km)

 

I have had a 2004 Prius, a 2010 Prius, and now the 2016 Prius. The older models were past down to my son's. We recently converged on Disney World. We debated the plural of Prius....
The consensus was Prii.

I saw a grey one - too late to flash it in time, but I tried a quick wave! It was grey, not a colour we're keen on. That makes 3 I've seen in 2 months (including the one I test drove). Absolutely love mine - looks like I've been driving her wrong on the first 4 tanks, way too much hard acceleration- calmed down now, keeping out of the "power" zone and expecting a better Mpg next tank.
Only disappointment - 3 stone chips on her beautiful white nose in only 2,000 miles....

 

I saw a red Prius the other day here in central California. It didn't have a license plate yet. The color was nice! I drove all the way to Phoenix AZ recently and didn't see one 2016 Prius.

 

A 2008 Prius parked next to me in the supermarket, but I had just broken my phone while playing "Saving Private Ryan" on a nearby bunker strewn beach with my son and some Nerf guns...so no pic!

 

Nice pictures! I like the Gen4 hubcaps on the 2004 silver Prius.

 

In my area of L.A. County, I see far more Hyundai Elantras and Honda Civics/Accords than any other car.

I'm starting to see lots more new 2016 PreEyes... all but one has been white like mine. And all driven by younger females. Don't any Old Guys drive a Prius?!?

 

Thanks, Ros. Yes, I saw your "male or female" thread. I realize there's a lot of males in this forum... especially younger guys that like to "modify" their cars. But oddly, I just don't see any men driving a Prius on the road. Maybe it's because I pass a lot of schools in the mornings; Mom's are dropping off the kiddies.

That's ok. No big deal. I'd much rather meet a nice lady (of a "certain age") in a Prius!

 

saw my second one around here the other day, and my wife saw one yesterday.

 

I've only seen one in the wild (so far). Although when driving I now find myself looking at every car on the road.

The one I saw the other day, was Blizzard Pearl with huge blue graphics across both driver and passenger door... it was a company name & logo (which I could make out what it said). Obviously a company car.

 

I have a 4 on order and I had the same impression looking at a dark metalic gray yesterday. I'm not fond of the dark colored blanks on a non-touring with the pearl white, just a little too much going on out front, thought they blend in really nicely on the darker colored cars. If they had just allowed us to add foglights to a 4. The clear lenses look much better with the white up front. Well I guess you can't have everything. J

 

If the fog lights are similar to third gen, they're near-pure ornamental, you can hardly tell when they're on. There's one member here that took off his 2016 blank covers and painted them to match body color; it looked pretty good.

Here in London, it seems the 2016 Prii are already proliferating like wild rabbits. I've seen almost 10 in the last week. They're increasingly popping up everywhere! And yes, the all black coloured version does look like the love child of a Batmobile and a Northrop B2 Spirit - Stealth Bomber......
