first of all I'd like to say hello, I'm new here. I have what I think is probably the best phone mount option for the gen 3 Prius. It's made by ceeone I got it on amazon and it was only $9. It's a mini magnet mount and I've had it for about 3 weeks and never had a problem. I tried that one that goes on the shifter and it was too low. This is perfect! I'll post pix. Since I can't snap a pic of my phone I'll show it with just the case and on its own. Btw the part that sticks to the dash is about the size of a quarter.
I use ProClip mounts. Mount at the A pillar can also mount a phone with the right ProClip mount adapter.
I got one of those magnetic ones as well (link below). I love it. The magnet is crazy strong and I use the Apple leather case so I just stuck the metal bit inside the case rather than on the back of my phone. The tape it came with just didn't want to adhere to the dash so I ended up using Super Glue I put mine on the right side of the stereo, between the stereo and glove compartment.
