How many 2016 Prii have you seen on the road?

I've seen two 4th gens, both in the Hattiesburg, MS area. The first time I saw one, I was driving on the interstate at night and I looked to the left and noticed that the dash display looked just like mine.

 

maybe it was a big mirror or your reflection in the shop window or you went back in time and caught a glimpse of yourself coming in.

 

I've seen one 2016 silver without a license plate near the Toyota dealer so I'm assuming it was a test drive. I'm going on a long trip to Phoenix, AZ this week so I will report back on how many I see.

 

I see them everywhere. I drive in Socal on the infamous 101fwy and I'm starting to see lots of the magnetic grey metallic. Saw a blue crush that was nice looking!! I saw about 5 today coming to work.

 

They must be mandated, but practically every taxi I see in Manhattan is a Prius, and it seems that most of them are 4th generation.

Nexus 7 ?

 

I've spotted a few older Priuses too, don't remember seeing them around till I started driving a Prius myself...thought about flashing them, but will save it for 4th Gen models.

 

I live in Southern California and have had my Prius since January, so I have been looking - but I have only seen one other Generation Four Prius in the wild.

 

Are you REALLY sure about that? There are tons of second and third gen Prius here. Downtown in particular I feel like one of the bunch.

But fourth gen?? They're just showing up, I'm sceptical.

 

I also live in the DC area, and I can confirm that there's barely any Gen 4s on the road around here. I've been quite surprised by how rare they are given how frequently I see the other generations and the C and the V. I've even seen a Prius Sedan (I think Gen 1) a bunch of times (pretty sure its the same one). It's odd seeing a Prius Sedan more often than I see a Gen 4 Prius.

 

None. Zip. Nada. Loads of older Prius models here in Brussels but not a single new one. Hoping that reports of cars promised for July delivery being made available in May in the UK somehow applies to us too. If so, expecting to see one soon enough.

 

I drive around Chicago's western suburbs and see a lot of Gen2 and Gen3 Prius, but since I received my own 2016 Prius about 2 weeks ago, I have only seen one (Sea Grass Pearl) on I-290 near Schaumburg, IL.

 

Saw my twin over the weekend.

By my calculations one should see about 60 older gen Prius for every 2016.

 

What mpgs are you getting in Mexico City? it is the most congested town in the planet! (According to the Traffic Index of Tomtom)

 

Same here in Munich. I already see very few Gen3, considering they are delivering NONE in EU, it will take a while before I see another Gen4 on the road. I have only seen one in black and discovered soon after that it was a launch vehicle sold to somebody who made a review on YouTube of it.

 

I work on 5th midtown (in the thick of the traffic) and have yet to see a single 2016 Prius 4th gen cab. Tons of 2012-2014 Pius Vs though, even plain Prius 3rd gens rare

 

Went for my first 5K service at the dealership today. My car has forward and rear facing dash cams that run for a few minutes after the car is turned off.

I took a look at the recordings after the service, and apparently the service techs don't see too many 2016 Prius's.
Many approached the car saying "what's that ?". The only one able to answer was the one that drove it.

To be fair, I did totally de-badge the vehicle.
