hello, i am brand new here and am looking to buy a prius very soon. I just looked at one today that seemed perfect but i have a few questions. When we turned it on at the lot the battery was very low, it quickly charged but when i sat in a parking lot for a bit and messed with the ac and radio and stuff it went back down again. Just wanted to make sure this was normal! it has 98,000 miles. thanks
But the key is how long. With the A/C running full blast, lights on and rear defroster on, you should expect at least 4-5 minutes of operating (6 bars down to 2) without the ICE running before the ICE turns on if the battery is VERY strong.
