What ring do you have at the fog plastic cover insert? Could have put a projector there and paint the rest of the insert to match the rest of the car...but the way it's mounted it may point to the side instead if straight ahead.

 

Questions:

Where'd you find the dual-tip pipe? I just looked under the rear of my car for the first time, yesterday. I was surprised how large the exhaust pipe is. And it slants downward. And what's that white ring on the front, where the fog like is supposed to be? (Oh, and somebody stole your hubcaps. )

(That's a dealer photo of the interior. It clearly shows my "Old Man Harvest Beige" color scheme, and my fine white china. I'm hesitant to wash my car again, for fear I might find more dings on the front.)

Nice Gen-4/4T ! I really like that blue, unfortunately none were available with ATP and PCP in my area, when I was shopping. OTOH, fortunately the gray metallic works, too.

 

What part of CA you in, Vince? In So Cal, Longo Toyota out in El Monte always seems to have quite a few. (The largest volume selling dealer in the country. Or so they claim. Last time I checked their website, they had 277 Gen4's.... Oh, now they have 334 in stock!)

After tinting with Xpel Prime XR ceramic, 35% VLT.

The tint makes a huge difference in internal temps after parking in direct sunlight. The dark appearance here is exaggerated by the reflective sunshade, which blocks all light through the windshield here. It's not nearly as dark in person and I can be seen by other drivers at intersections. It's not been an issue with night driving either. If I was to do them again, I'd go with 50% VLT on the two front windows just to help with driver-to-driver visuals.

Still needs fog/driving lights, and proper mudguards (not generic mudflaps). The ones fitted to Canadian models look about right.

 

You can find mudguards at juicedhybrid.com. It's the only place I've seen that has them for a Gen4.
What brand/size of tires did you put on?

 

Before and after rim-tire swap:

Stock meh Dunlop (!) 195/65-15 on stock 6.5 x15 rims. Thoughtfully pre-lubed with about a gallon of tire gloss...


Replaced with Michelin 245/40 Pilot Sport AS 3+ on 17x8 ET 45 Konig Inception rims:


An enormous difference in ride, NVH, and of course, grip, even over the Touring's 215/45 on 17x7-inch rim setup. They have zero interference or clearance issues at full compression and full-lock. Pretty much wide as you can go with a 17" without rolling the lip or offset issues. A fantastic upgrade.

They are coping with rough pavement, potholes and speed-bumps very well so far. Initially I was considering doing some suspension mods but am now having second thoughts. The stock setup is a reasonable compromise even with all this grip, if a bit under-damped, and it is both comfortable and encourages smoother, more strategic driving. Overall I am very pleased with the result.
