I took care of the trade at my dealer yesterday. Wish I could have just bit the bullet and ordered this first, but c'est la vie. I decided to go with a color and instead of a neutral tone (the Eco 2 was silver). I almost got the Red, which looks great but loudly says 'old guy trying to act young and having a mid-life crisis'. I love the level 4 with the radar cruise control. There are quite a few other controls on this car and the book is massive so I'll need time to read and learn. I apologize for the pictures but I will put some better ones on when I have time. Let me know what you think. [Some better pictures, as I promised!]
Congratulations, once you read the book be sure to give me tips and advice about the PCP and ATP pack ;-) LG-H901 ?
Interesting there are some of us still waiting to get a Gen4 by mid-July and there are those instead who are already trading in one version for another...
Congrats always great to be happy when you buy a car sometimes the first choice does not work.out. Good luck.
Congrats on getting the car that you really want. I'm curious how long you had the eco, how many miles you had on it and how much of a hit you took in the trade. Are you willing to share? I will understand if you would rather not.
That's nice color. I wanted that blue when I was buying my Prius 3 but it was not available so I settled for silver.
The Eco 2 had ~850 miles after 3 weeks. Trade-in hit: $3,300. That was the most expensive car rental/test drive I've ever had. I should have been more decided on which trim I wanted/needed but now I have what I want.
Don't feel too bad, none of us make perfect decisions 100% of the time. Fluke accidents and life events cost more than $3,300, at least you got in a car you really enjoy.
Think of the bright side, you didnt attempt to retro fit all those stuff . Even if possible, normally costs a whole lot more in the long run.
Great and congrats. As an old guy trying to act young and having a late-life crisis, I went for a 4 with atp and pcp but in red. Blame New York values!
That blue is certainly an attention getter. (My white is looking pretty dang boring.) How does the interior look, Jim? You have the SofTex seats? And did the dealer cover up the "white china?" And did I see Dunlop tires? After you've driven it for a few hundred miles, please report back with any "dislikes" that happen to come up. Hopefully none, but we can all learn.
Actually, the first test drive I did in a 2016 Prius was a Blizzard Pearl 3 Touring (I believe). Although at the time, I was very negative in my feelings about the car, I thought the white paint job was beautiful. It has some depth to it, and also you can see the little sparklies. Yes, I have softex seats. They're comfortable, but the material is not as thick as real leather. I hope it holds up over time. No, the dealer did NOT include the black appliqué pieces. I got them at another dealer for $200 total for all 3 pieces. You're very observant! It does have DUNLOP tires. The other car had TOYO. Not sure if these are better or not. The car was traded with a dealer from Florida. It was transported on a carrier truck and only had 2 miles on it. I'll keep you all posted as I drive and learn about the car.
DonD, from one old guy to another I say -- ENJOY IT! Your car looks great in that picture. What interior scheme do you have? Did you cover up the toilet & basin yet, or does it not bother you?
Glad you were able to find the car you wanted - $3300 is tough, but in the long run will be worth it. Great color choice!
