Week long business trip to Canada is also trashing this weekend and next. :(
With any luck the weather will be good a week from now when I get back.

I'm back in town, and a sunny warm-ish weekend is forecast. Fingers crossed!

Oh, and the electrician was here today to estimate adding the lines for the power I need in the garage. Money already waiting in the bank to do it. :D

    Sorry for the sideways photo...

I spent the afternoon cutting away the pieces that I thought were holding the Firebird body too high on the chassis. Nothing seemed to work even though the parts I cut would have needed to get trimmed back anyway.

I got inside the car and jumped up and down with my 1/8 ton body weight, but it was solid. Nothing was about to move. Just before running out of time, I stuck my droplight into the end of the driveshaft tunnel and poked my cell phone in to take some pictures where I couldn't see. Sure enough, a pair of brackets that used to hold the console in place in the Prius v were protruding up higher than expected and supporting the Firebrid's body above where it should be. I'm out of time for this weekend, but nect weekend the body will get lifted so that I can cut those brackets off entirely.

OK, I see where the Innovative Performance Chip is on sale on Amazon. Is it worth it to put in the Firebrid project car, or is there a better brand I should be looking toward?

I seriously doubt a chip like that is going to improve on the OEM programming of this vehicle.

I see a lot of different conversations on PriusChat about a lot of different kinds of add-ons to improve performance. I'm not going to buy anything until the project is roadable again, but I'm curious as to whether such modifications are worthwhile.

Spent much of the day out in the garage. Got the front of the body lifted, and after two or three sessions of trim and fit the front seated where it should on the Prius v chassis. The rear is still high due to some pinch points back there.

I then moved to the rear of the body and got it in the air. However, time ran short so I will finish the trimming at the rear next time I get out to the garage.

Damp, raw, rainy day in Ohio. Tomorrow should be a better day to get out in the garage.

Still got my gas money put away for your road trip. Awesome job Bill. This stuff is what I live for!! Somehow, you need to be on one of the cable tv car shows.
