Was wondering if anyone knows what the specs are for trims on the 2013 Toyota Prius in Canada? I would like a Prius with the soft tech leather or cloth that I could cover up with leather seat or something else that is more durable with kids. And I would like front heated seats, back up camera. Anything else would be a plus. Looking at a 2013 because it would give me 5 years of the remaining battery warranty. I'm hoping to spend max $18,000 in total (everything included)
Backup camera and all-weather mats were made standard in 2012. I've underlined the features you want. If you want a factory SofTex and heated seats, the Technology package is the only one. I've purchased 2013 Prius moonroof package, it came with leather heated seats and NAV. Paid 19K + tax from Toyota dealer. I beleive 18K all-in is hard to find, but wish you good luck.
Tech package would be perfect!!! To find one will be extremely hard but if I have to travel to get a well priced Prius tech then o will. If I can find a good priced 2014 touring then that would be nice. I would settle for a moon roof or touring package in a 2013.
Any automotive upholstery shop can remove the cloth and replace it with perfectly-fitted leather, just as good as factory-new. They can install seat heaters as well. Of course it costs money, but you get factory-new upholstery. So it's a possibility to consider.
I found a white 2012 Prius moonroof package with a little less then 80,000km on it for $15,995 in my area. The owner is selling it. They reduced the price.. It was $16,800. If I can get it for $15,00-$15,500. I can spend $1,000-$500 on upgrades like the leather heated seats. One thing... It doesn't list that it has navigation.
The Prius navigation is terrible compared to a phone app such as WAZE. You can just use WAZE to give you voice navigation through the car's Bluetooth. That GPS unit is nice for music, satellite radio and reverse camera, but the navigation and enTune apps are poor.
The 2012-2015 Prius with the 6.1" Display Audio have a different nav than those with the 7" version. The 6.1" version is more akin to a Garmin interface while the 7" version is the traditional Toyota navigation system. I haven't heard too many good things about either but I've heard worse on the 6.1" ...
If I can hook up my phones GPS to the car through Bluetooth then I'm fine with 6.1" type of navigation system. As for the car price do you think the owner is listing it at a good price? i have another month and 3 weeks to find and purchase a car.
I didn't realise the Prius' resale was so high in Canada lol. I found a base 2011 with 81,000km for $13,950 2011 Toyota Prius Hybrid! Rare! AC, Only $149 Biweekly 0 down! for $13,950 in Kentville | autoTRADER.ca So if the one you're looking at is the Moonroof Upgrade and it's 1 year newer, $15,995 might be ok.... Of course, try and get it as low as you can and ensure all the fluids are up to date and there's a full service record. This one is a dealer too but on the west coast. 2010 base model 2010 Toyota Prius LOCAL VICTORIA ONE OWNER for $15,900 in Victoria | autoTRADER.ca Private seller with a rare interior colour (Misty Grey. Most were sold with Dark Grey). 2010 base model. 2010 Toyota Prius for $16,000 in VICTORIA | autoTRADER.ca So it seems like they're more expensive on the coast than on the east coast. And there are a lot of base models lol. (At least in $16,000 price range that I set as the maximum)
