So I got a wild hair up my _____!! I decided to plastic dip my hubcaps. I took all 4 off. Pulled straight out with 2 towels. I then washed them completely with toothbrushes. I then clean with a terry cloth and used Q-Tips for the creases. I then used black plasti dip on all 4 hubcaps. I did 5 even light coats. I decided to black out the toyota gloss emblem in the center. I waited 10 minutes between coats. I then sprayed the lighter metallic violet on them for some flare!! I think they came out cool. I'm not wanting them completely violet just a hint of flake. What do you guys and ladies think? Should I put another coat of metallic violet on or keep this. Oh I have a blizzard pear paint job with tint Thanks,
Nice job. I might try one more violet coat. You also might just do a test on a piece of cardboard and see if you like the results.

You so beat me to this! I was thinking about plasti dipping mine anthracite grey. Any pics of them on the car. I think it looks really good. Gotta do this soon. How many cans?
Yeah you should totally go for it!!! Just took 50% of 1 black spray can and I used less than a quarter of the metallic violet dip 1 can. I'll post pics once I'm done and it's all washed. I'm also gonna black out the HYBRID and PRIUS emblems!! Probably next weekend
If you black out the emblems I'd add the violet touch as well. That's just the female color coordinated OCD in me saying that.
Pls post pics of them mounted to the car You can also try a coat or two of the plasti dip glossifier. Will give it a little shine and not so much of the flat black look...
should be. But if you have the 17inch rims on yours you might wanna buy 2 cans of each. just depends how many coats you wanna go.
Omg! Have you been to Target lately?? There are 2 huge storm trooper decals on the doors and I tell my bf every time THEY LOOK LIKE MY CAR! I have the Blizzard Pearl too! Do you have a picture of them on your car??
