How do you check the pre collision system? It is supposed to stop you without any input from the driver. Maybe!
Love the slow motion one. So I guess the denser the object the sooner it will detect it. They should try a quarter of a cow on a pull mechanism. Looks like it minimizes impact and may not stop the car before impact.
Yes/my rates are a little lower for the new car than the 2011. However, they said all the safety features have not been put in the Q yet.
I guess this was my question, to be honest was wondering that that when the safety benefits will be noted on the insurance side of things on their system thus when I call up to add vehicle to policy it will show on their system that this car has awesome safety which in turn will give me a better quote. The Prius replaced a Mazda CX 5 and making those changes via my insurance provider increased her / our premium by approx $50 over the 6 month policy period. Mind you her premiums are high due to a couple of at fault claims in 2013. Plus we live in Florida. LG-H901 ?
Insurance companies are buried in red tape just like any large organization. It will take time for them to notice the improvements. They never noticed the reduced cost or repair of the GIII over the GII (the thermos was no longer easily destroyed in the GIII as it was gone). As is almost always the case, the newer the car design, the better it performs in crash tests. In other words, don't get cocky, in a few months a newer car model will come out that will outperform the Prius 2016.
What's the difference between AEB pedestrian 60km/h and AEB pedestrian 45km/h? Cause it hit the subject at 45km/h but avoided it at 60km/h?!?
