Be happy to put image back!

Yes this is an old post because it has taken so long to deal with Toyota Australia and I am fuming over their treatment of me. I will take this further...

Next is Dept of Fair Trading, Motor Traders Association and a letter to one of our Car magazines!
Another thing you guys can help me with is this:
Rather than pay the full Toyota price for new headlights I was looking at the headlight assemblies you can buy on eBay. Most of them come from the states and would be nearly half the cost of genuine (even with delivery). Are these OK?

    For example:

So there are no junkyards in your area where you could find any used parts? I also have a pair of extra headlights in my garage but they are in Finland, on the other side of the globe...

Wondering what kind of service did Urbo bring the car to the dealer for that required the cover up of the headlights AND with hi-beam and engine running for extended period. Leavinig the high beam on for a lonmg time without covering it up should not cause such damage. Is it possible that a cheap third party OEM light bulbs were in used?

    Good questions.
The service was to replace a damaged oil sump cover and broken oil pump, my wife had driven over a rock (don't ask!). They had to take timing chain out so would have needed full access to engine bay, hence covers.
It was due for a regular service so I asked for that to be done as well. They did replace the two parking globes and that is when I believe this happened.
The globes were standard as I hadn't replaced them.
It's all on my blog: Toyota Service Hassles: Melted Headlight Issue.

What about security camera footage? Can't they take a look how did the headlights look when you first pulled in to the garage?

here the dealer actually walks around the car with me ... even noting on the sheet that I have the hubcups off, small scracthes on the back bumper (new york city parking ....) licence plate thing touched it little hard... so anything not on that sheet is their fault this is SO VISIBLE they couldn't have missed it ... another dealership I went once actually took pictures of the car all four sides ....

Hi Mate, I have a Prius 2010 model and have always had problems with it.
First the HV Battery died on me, and cost me nearly $5000 to replace, then my headlights low beam melted the right side housing and /i am changing globes every 3 to 4 months.
I did look up on google if other 2010 prius had the same problem and found that in America, there was a lawsuit launched against toyota for not advising of the fault. Look it up in google.
Now what i am thinking is that Toyota has withheld that info about the fault from us as well.
I did get in touch with Toyota WA and am waiting for their response.
It is definitely a fault with the headlights, but as usual they try to cover up.
I would like to ask everyone in Australia that owns the prius if they had the same fault with their vehicle. If so Toyota should be held responsible for it.
I have constantly having problems with my prius and am contemplating getting legal advice about buying a lemon in the first place. Cost me nearly $22000 when i purchased it.
Now theres a rattling noise when the engine kicks in, but knowing Toyota, they will try to cover it up as well.
I will never trust Toyota again

Is this taxi service? As far as HV battery, in the USA we have had very few reports of Gen3 batt fails. But cabbies in Europe were a differernt story, and it seems Europe had some different build quality than USA. Also is this a Gen2 or Gen3 Prius you have?
