I've tried various strings, they get eaten savagely. Must be some sort of thread in there. Anybody know what needs to be disassembled to remove the emblem ? I plan on replacing it with an emblem of my choice. jp
I assume it needs to be pried out, if the design is consistent with the last gens, same for the emblem in the front. However I am waiting for a confirmed answer too. +1
See my post on this process. Mason string seemed to work best. Everything else breaks. De-badging a Gen 4 http://priuschat.com/index.php?threads/De-badging-a-Gen-4.161719/ 2016 Prius 4 Touring
I would not recommend removing the badge. It required using a string heavy enough to cut thru one of the plastic pins on the badge. Once that went, and I got 3/4 through, I was able to pull the badge off. Your replacement badge had better fill the space !!! The square area around the hole in the center is unpainted plastic.
If it's like the Gen III emblem, it is not just stuck on with adhesive, there are holes in the bodywork where its attached.
The radar cruise goes in the front of the car. I don't think that I need to cruise in the reverse ! That would be scary.
