Anything good out there that is less of a pizza cutter tire and more of a smooth luxury like riding tire?

The stock tires that came with my Prius are turrable.

    Whats the best?

for pure luxury, there maybe better, but the michelin energy saver a/s is supposed to be a pretty good all around tyre.

Would you be so kind as to post which tires are on your Prius at this time? Also, size of wheels/tires would also be helpful.

I will second the Michelin Energy Saver A/S, however you may have availability issues.

According to customer ratings at tirerack.com, you either want Michelin Premier A/S, or Continental TrueContact, for the smoothest and quietest ride. Definitely not the Michelin Energy Saver, unless all you care about is mileage, which I don't think is your situation. I can tell you I have the predecessor to the Michelin Premier and thank my wife every day for hitting the pothole that caused me to get new tire. Handles well, stops in the wet, quiet, and no real mpg hit compared to the OEMs.

FWIW, there is a BIG difference between the "Michelin Energy Saver" and the "Michelin Energy Saver A/S" IMO.

    YMMV

Could be, I don't claim any expertise or even to know the difference between those models. Huge difference in ride ratings between Energy Saver A/s and the tires I mentioned.

I'm guessing the links below won't work on someone else's computer. Just go to tirerack.com and enter the year make and model.

Some of these tires are expensive. I did see some Firestone Affinity Touring on sale for $60 each (normally $125) but I'm not sure if they are good or not.

In the UK mine are Goodyear F1,s fitted to my CT but I'm finding them a little noisey but our roads are terrible here.

We have the TrueContacts...seem pretty good so far. We previously had GY Assurance ComforTred which are quiet but they lasted forever (kept the rear tires on the rear) and were noisy in the end.
