Visual Tables of Gen4 Package Combinations | PriusChat Go the very bottom line of the Interior section. Color HUD on the Three and Four via Advanced Technology Package but not available in the Touring, even with packages.
Yep, no HUD and no sunroof on Touring. I guess these add weight that would further compromise MPG with the 17" wheels of the touring.
Thank you guys for the HUD info. So I promptly went back and reordered a Four which allowed me to get both tech packages ATP & PCP, I think I only lost the 17 in wheels. They said I may get the Four earlier. The Touring is flying out of the lots.
I would have liked having the ATP on the 4 touring. Don't know why Toyota doesn't allow this. There must be a reason.
May not be the right place to post this, but just wanted to site my disappointment with 4th Gen Prius sales in Dallas/Fort Worth TX. 2016 Prius has been available in this area since back in January...yet I have yet to see a new Prius on the streets and highways even though I am out and about 7 days a week. Anybody else noticed this anywhere else?
I wouldn't sweat the clearance/fog lights. Like everything else on the Touring (17" wheels, busier rear panel below bumper), these are mainly ornamental. They do look very nice, but aren't going to be of any real value in fog or snow. The plastic inserts that fill the fog/clearance fixture holes are darker in real life than they seemed in photos, more charcoal than gray, so almost black. They look fine. I fully expect a third party to deliver a nice reflector package that can plug in there for non-touring owners that want a little more flash. Merged. Same reason Toyota won't sell you a Four with a spare tire - weight/mpg shenanigans.
Maybe they got to the Gulf States slower than elsewhere. I haven't seen one in the wild yet, but did see some in the backlot of a local dealer. Salesman told me they weren't putting them out front till they sold the 2016s they still had in stock.
That's what I got. Love my car. I have yet to wish I had a sunroof. Just another window to tint. HUD? That would be cool. You will like the car. It's great! My favorite car I ever owned!
I'm in central PA and have noticed the same thing. My wife works at a Toyota dealer here and so I know they are selling, but haven't seen any in the wild yet. I can also say I feel they are stock piling some of the 2s and 3s. 4s don't seem to be lasting long. My guess is that it's probably due to the potentially polarizing new body. I like it...and personally, I'm fine with it being "more rare". I actually was kind of hoping I wouldn't see any other in the wild until I got mine...something about liking unique things maybe?.?...
We finally get a bit of a break in Canada, up here the "special" colours are mere $255 (Canadian funds) extra. The whole concept of any extra charge rankles, for me, but leave that to another day, lol.
i haven't seen one around here yet, but it takes time to build on the road inventory. this maybe a lot like the gen 3 intro, with low gas prices. only difference is, toy isn't flooding the dealers with inventory.
It takes 3-4 months to clear out Gen-3 inventory and deal with early adopters. Plus the market is not static: model 3; Volters, and; waiting for Godot Ioniq. Bob Wilson
