On the previous generations, the ICE would rotate starting around 40 MPH or so to keep MG1 from spinning too rapidly. Does anyone know how this car can to 80+ MPH without spinning the ICE, or ???
What you're talking about is the Gen 1 and Gen 2 transaxle. In Gen 3 and Gen 4 its structure has been changed. The gear radio of MG1:MG2 is close to 1:1, since both MG1 and MG2 is connected to sun gear.That's why the max EV speed exceeds 80MPH
