Welcome prius_noob from the land of lifted pickups. This is a daft Yank with a question: In the Top Gear episode the Gen 1 Prius is childishly shot up, Jeremy Clarkston pronounces it "Pry-us" Is that the Brit pronouncation, or Jeremy just being Jeremy? This side of the pond we say: "Pre-us"
Hey! And..just Jeremy being Jeremy I think I think most people here also say "Pre-us" but some people say it slightly differently. Think "Nike" and "Nikee" The other thing ofc is with the Prius being having this stereotype of being a " iberal eco warrior" type car, some people may call it a "Pry-us" because it rhymes with "pious" so a derogatory term for the car. Though interestingly liberal in the US means something different to liberal in the UK SOrta like this:
