I was walking through the local big box store today and saw a 3' x 4' all purpose mat. I thought I would see if I could get it to fit the cargo area of my new car. Pulled out the cargo floor panel. Put it over the mat and trimmed the excess. Its a great fit - even comes up the rear seat about 3 inches. The only part not covered is about a 4 inch spot on each side at the widest point. But you will find the the left over scraps can be cut to fit that area and just lay under the larger piece. Just thought I would share - a cheap and easy way to get a cargo mat with just a few minutes of work. Here are a few pics.
I treat my car as a two-seater. This is indoor/outdoor carpet from that big box store cut with shears to cover the extended cargo area. Les than $20. Bucks.
