Thanks. Maybe you didn't notice but the (last 3) leather pics are my 2010 Prius (now crippled sitting at a dealership).

Did you find out if the leather seats are for sure going to be installed. I would LOVE to get the soft tech or what you got in your 2010 for my 2016 Prius two upgrade package when I purchase it in a month. In New Brunswick there is only the base and upgrade modles available for sale (that's all I can afford anyways but it would have been nice to see extra packaging available since there is not technology or touring trims for sale)

Hi Ashley.... As a matter of fact the dealer called me this afternoon and said the heated leather package is in! I can drop off the car tomorrow morning!

After thinking about it, if Toyota doesn't sell these packages for after-market it must be a third party. I can remember that both salesmen for this Prius and my 2010 said they were color-matched and complete factory packages not just covers. For safety reasons they have to work properly for the airbags to deploy, etc. My 2010 was the 'misty grey' interior which is a two-tone scheme dark grey and light putty. It included the seats, headrests, padded leather on the door panels, rear armrests and even the console lid. The dark sections even had beautiful contrast stitching. And like I said before, it held up well after 5 years and almost looks new. A few years later Toyota went to softex which is thinner, cheaper and not as durable. I sat on it in Prius three and four that I looked at. It was not as impressive.

Tomorrow I will find out the details and post back here with pictures. I'm looking forward to getting it done. :D

Sounds good, Jim. Please ask them if your leather package is made by Toyota, or some other company as an aftermarket accessory? How did they find a leather seat package SO SOON for a 2016 Prius? I can't even get some simple mudguards!

I shopped and browsed at 4 dealers in California, and not one of the salesmen or parts guys ever mentioned anything about a leather seat package for a new Prius. They just told me that I have to buy the "Touring" model to get SofTex (fake leather) seats. Please ask your dealer, where he got the leather seat covers from. Or is it a whole new seat??? And it includes leather arm rests and center console too? I've never heard of such! It's gotta be a custom-made deal.

My leather heated seats are finally in!

Sorry everyone that it took this long. It's been a crazy couple of days and there was a mixup about when they'd have my car ready.

I did not get to ask my salesman about the leather because he had to run out to deliver a vehicle when I was there picking up my car.

Nevertheless, I am VERY pleased with the results.:D I have concluded that this leather package is NOT a Toyota accessory. Reasons - the power switches are toggle ON/OFF only, no level settings and don't auto turn off, you have to remember to turn them off. The leather itself is REAL leather of a thicker and more durable quality than the softex. Like I said in my earlier post, my old Prius leather lasted over 5 years and still looks good! It has never ripped or had the stitching unravel.

Anyway, here are some pictures. I apologize that they're not that great, I did them with my phone.

Here are a couple of nights shots with my LEDs on....

Very nice, Jim. Maybe they sent your car over to a local custom shop to have it installed. I believe you would have to remove / partially disassemble the seats to put that leather on. (I wonder how they get the back bench seat out of there?) Looks much better than the beige towel I have draped across my console lid!

Good job. Next time I'm cruising by North Carolina, I'll have to stop in at your dealer.

    Zorro lives!

    Very nice!

It looks like the bottom part of your steering wheel is black. Did I miss something, or is yours unique in that reagard too?

Hiker, the Two model comes black like that. And black cupholders. But I don't know why they kept the shifter panel white.

Hi. Thanks. That part of the steering wheel is black. I didn't know others were not.
My 'urinal' is black also. I think that's why I liked this model so much.
I would like to replace the other white plastic pieces with black because it looks so classy.

All Two models, and the Two Eco, have flat black steering wheel, flat black cup holder console, but the shift handle panel remains white. Seems odd. Toyota sells a black "appliqué" you can apply over that shifter area. But it's glossy, not flat black like your other areas. (It will match your touchscreen.)

    Merged.

Here's a Two model with the optional glossy black appliqué on the shift panel. image.jpg

    Merged.

image.jpg What's wrong, Jim? You don't like "Classy White Porcelain Fixtures?" (Just don't spill Green Tea on it. Like I did 2 minutes after this picture! :ROFLMAO:)

Thanks for that picture. I think I would like the shiny black around the shifter because with mine the white looks so odd.

    Where can we order it?

Seat covers look like Clazzio and they are a Japanese company that makes leather seating for OEM. Priuschat Shop has them for sale as well. They slip over the existing material.

No these are NOT Clazzio. Although Clazzio are okay for what they are (consumer installable slip-on seat covers). I had Clazzio in another car years ago and they did not look factory and were not as durable.

I found out from the dealer's installer that these are Roadwire which is a very respected brand. My old Prius's seats by them are now 5-1/2 years and still look almost new. Here's Roadwire's statement from their site:

Roadwire leather seat kits are specifically cut and sewn to fit the year, make, model, and trim level of your vehicle. These are not slip-on seat covers, but rather they are designed to replace the existing factory cloth or leather seat covers in your car. No other factory style replacement leather seats look as good or are as easily installed as a Roadwire custom leather interior, and all at the lowest prices in the industry! Each leather upholstery kit is manufactured from automotive grade, top grain leather and includes: seat covers for all rows of seating in your vehicle, headrest covers, armrest covers, and in most cases door panels. Roadwire leather seats are built to last, which is why each leather interior kit comes standard with a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty.

If you are a do-it-yourselfer, the black kit to cover the "white porcelain"' is for sale in the Prius Chat Shop. And I'm sure most dealers will know where to get it, or they have it in stock. (There's a couple of ongoing threads here. Maybe they can advise on how to install.)

Two or three California Toyota dealers are installing the black kit, even before selling the car. I guess there's been a demand for that option.

Here's a better picture of a Prius Two interior, with the optional black covering the shifter panel. Picture courtesy of Longo Toyota, El Monte, Ca. Is it a plastic piece that slides right on? If an owner prefers black... that is definitely a black interior.

Thanks for that. I definitely am going for the all black look. I think it is classy and high tech.
This afternoon I called my local Toyota dealer near work where I usually get service. They said they can get it in for me by Monday. $72.20
