After reading various threads from these forums, I purchased the following for my new Prius:
    • Side Mouldings
    • Mud Guards
    • Extended Warranty (7 year/100k miles)
    • Prepaid Maintenance (4 yr/55k miles)
    • Cargo Tray (Weathertech)
    • All Weather Mats (Weathertech)
    • Screen Hood
    • Leather Center Console Cover
    • Zaino Total Protection Car Kit
    • RainX and Invisible Glass
Side mouldings and Mud Guards- I ordered these from Metrotpn Toyota. I decided to have both products professionally installed at "The Plastic Surgeons" in Burr Ridge, Illinois. They did a fantastic job, but I thought the cost of installation was a bit excessive at $150!

Extended Warranty and Prepaid Maintenance- I purchased these items from the dealer. My dealer was very competitive ($995 for the extended warranty---fully refundable in the event that it is never used!; and $645 for the prepaid maintenance plan).

Cargo Tray and All Weather Mats- I am very pleased with these items. The cargo tray is a real savior. The floor mats are very good, but the fit could be just a little better for the front mats. I went with the Weathertech ones.

Display Sun Hood and Center Console Cover- I purchased these from the Prius Hoods store on eBay. Both products work as advertised.

Zaino Kit- I ordered the Zaino Total Protection Car Kit. After applying the products as recommended, the Prius looked great. The shine was spectacular and the surface has never been so smooth! I also applied the Zaino tire cleaner. Finally, I used RainX and Invisible Glass on the windows. These products also work as advertised.

So, my time on the Prius forums has cost me some money! However, I am pleased with my purchases and hope that it extends the time that I have with my Prius. So far, my Prius is performing better than I expected. I achieved 55.2 mpg on my first tank and 55.8 mpg on the second tank. After driving 501 miles, the Prius just under 9 gallons of gas!

    Sounds great!!!

But you're not finished, of course. There's the BT brace, the EV mod, the new tires, seat covers, etc. :)

    Oops,
Upgraded fog light bulbs, DVD video system (ok, it's portable and we've used it in all the cars..but I bought it mostly for the Prius), Digital tire guages (2), chrome stem caps, window tinting, Razorback decal, Prius Hybrid decals, Prius Hybrid applique (JDM item replaced the old decal), Dyno-Scan cable and software.

Yikes, I gotta be approaching $2000 in add-ons.

side mouldings, mud flaps, MFD hood, MFD screen protector, 7 yr Ext. warranty (I wasn't really counting that, but it's in the OP's list).

That pushes me over $3000 easy.

How much difference does the MFD screen protector make? The reason I ask is I have a hood and was wondering if the protector would make any further improvement.

The screen protector I had actually made it harder to see the screen, increased glare and with polarized sun glasses could be nearly impossible to see. It was strictly to protect from fingerprints/dirt. the hood is to prevent glare.

Hey gnagel, are you sure you bought the actual Toyota extended warranty? The Toyota warranty does not refund the money to you if it is not used, however some third party warranty's do. If you did get a third party warranty I suggest you return it and get the real Toyota warranty.

I purchased the extended warranty from Orland Toyota. It's the actual Toyota extended warranty.

Orland Toyota gave me a separate document which reads:

"If by the end of 4-8-13 or 100,000 miles this service contract has never been used, Orland Toyota, at the request of the above buyer, will either refund back 100% of the original cost ($995.00) or with the purchase of another vehicle from Orland Toyota, include the same warranty, if applicable, at no charge."---Orland Toyota Business Manager

Other than being a Razorback that emblem is cool. Get at a Razorback only store/site or do they have other real college teams? Such as...

    Dear efusco and Micheal,

Thanks for the tip efusco. But boys lets not fight.... surely we can all unite in loathing for Texas Aggies, USC prophylactics and Miami Hurricanes.... oh and lets not forget the LSU Tigers, and might as well throw in the Ohio State Buckeyes to boot. Oh, and the Texas A&M Aggies, yuck.

    Jeez, that's quite a list.

    Oh, and the Dallas Cowboys.

    Go Pack.

FYI - Toyota factory warranties do refund $ if the car is sold before the time/mileage is up.

Typically, they prorate the amount if you haven't used it.

For example, I sold my 2005 with 24k miles on it, out of the $990 I paid, I should get back just under $800. I never used it, but they take out a $25 admin fee, plus prorate based on mileage.
